Division Round Opponent: Chiefs, Titans or Bills

You can't look at full year stats. When this team was the healthiest it had been all season, they were definitely blowing teams out. The disastrous start to the season also brings down that point differential per game.

By all accounts, Hogan, Branch, and possibly even Mitchell should be ready for the playoffs. KVN will have a couple of weeks to get even healthier, and they just added a key piece on defense in Harrison.

If those guys come back at all we have no idea how effective they will be. Will they be 80%? 100? 50? Who knows? And if our assessment is purely based on right now, you have to admit Brady has not looked like Brady for a solid month.

And Harrison is not a key piece. He's done. If the Pats get one or two big plays out of him they will be lucky.

Having those guys back in any capacity will help.

Stop embarrassing yourself.

Jags just lost to the freaking Titans....

It's not about how good or bad the Jags are. The Giants had no business being on the same field with us talent wise in 2007. It's about a specific matchup. And the Jags are a bad matchup for the Patriots. Doesn't mean that they are "better" than the Pats. They are the team that scares me the most in the AFC.

Nothing embarrassing about telling the truth. Sorry you can't handle it.

The fact that Bills made playoffs is huge for their franchise. If we do face them it's going to be a dog fight. No matter how familiar we are with them and vice versa, if they do get to divisional round, they will play out of their mind. That's not to say we won't be prepared but it'll one heck of game.

Titans, I think, will be the easier opponent of them all.I don't care much about beating quality teams in playoffs to get to and win superbowl. Winning is all that matters.

We beat Chiefs last year and got embarrassed to say the least in week 1 at home this season. I don't think we lost to the same team twice in the same season in the past.I could be wrong.

Titans
Chiefs
Bills
would be the order for me.

Jets 2010
Giants 2011
Broncos 2015

But I agree re the Bills. I know we match up well with them but they are very well coached and I don’t care to see a division rival a third time. I doubt they get by Jax though.

He has already given the team 3 or 4 big plays in just a single game, in addition to other things that fantasy football fanatics like yourself may not appreciate. This despite having only 5 days to learn the playbook.

He won't be out there on every snap, and Bill won't put him in a position that will leave him compromised. But he will provide much needed depth, which is important this time of year.

Exactly. Depth. That's it. Huge leap between depth (same thing he was in Pittsburgh, an insurance policy) and being a "key player". But you think whatever you want. I'm done with this nonsense.

I feel like we can beat any of these teams so long as WE are healthy and our offense in particular is firing on all cylinders. I think TB really needs this break and at the same time, needs to get back in synch with his wide receivers.

He's a guy who can play half the snaps and fill team needs + make big plays. That's a key player this time of year.

Something tells me that the Jags playing in sub-freezing temps would be like watching a Giraffe try to run on ice.

Personally, i want the Bills because I have a number of Canadian friends that would fly down for the game, and I want to see their tears freeze to their faces in person.

Pats Pulpit on Twitter

"In my opinion, the best scenario for the Patriots would be a Jaguars and Titans victory on wild card weekend, setting up the Patriots against the Titans and the Steelers against the Jaguars." @pp_rich_hill analyzes potential #Patriots playoff opponents.

Jacksonville is a terrible match up for Buffalo. The Bills rely upon their run game and Jacksonville will shut that down. Jacksonville will have to screw up royally to lose that game. So it’s going to be Jacksonville at Pitt, which will scare Roethlisberger big time.

I’d love to See Tennessee come to Foxborough but I doubt they win at Arrowhead. I’m expecting KC in a rematch. The Patriots didn’t match up well last time so they will have to play a really good game to move on.

They already did.

May I introduce you to Blake Bortles?

OT: Todd Haley is racked up. Rumor is he has a broken pelvis from a bad fall on ice.

Steelers annual postseason circus is open for business.

Interesting development:

The Chiefs brought running back C.J. Spiller back to the team on Tuesday in one of four moves that altered the makeup of their 53-man roster heading into Wild Card weekend.

The team announced that wide receiver D’Anthony Thomas and running backe Akeem Hunt have been placed on injured reserve. Thomas, who has a leg injury, and Hunt, who hurt his ankle, both left the team’s Week 17 game early.
