Week 6 is here. There are two fewer games due to the byes. However, there are more than enough betting opportunities. Lots of player O/U props. Patriots game props, Player Prop Parlays, and Same Game Parlays will remain each week for the rest of the season.

We had a request in the results thread for a tutorial on the different betting available. I posted it there, but I will also copy it to the second post below for anyone else who may be unsure about teasers and parlays. Please ask if you have any questions.

The Dingleberry Casino has decided to give away 50k this week! We are generous with fake money. There will be a betting contest that costs you nothing. So make your picks for a chance to win a piece of the 50k. I had originally planned to set this up as you wagering in this pool bet, but decided to make it free to play for everyone. Here is how it will work...


Each week I will provide a pool betting prop with 5 or 6 teams or players as the choices to select. Whoever selects the winning prop will share in the 50k. If 10 of us win, we all get 5k. If only 5 people select the winner, that's 10k each! The strategy might be to select who you think is the best bet, or to take the bet that fewer people are selecting so your pay off would be higher?

What about the dreaded crooked numbers? Even better for you all. If 8 people win, the split would be a bit over 6k each. I will always round up to the next 1k. That would make it 7k each. And there may be weeks I increase the pot from 50k depending upon the prop.

Don't be a fool. Make your selection. You have a 1 in 6 chance this week to win a share of the 50k.

Choose one of these teams and include it with your regular bets. Just type "Pool - Packers" or something like that. It costs you none of your bank roll to take a chance. If another team not on the list scores more than any of these teams, it does not affect the pool. Whichever team score the most amongst these 6 teams wins the bet. There will be winners of the 50k.

There will always be a tie breaker as well. If the top two of these teams score the same number of points, the winner will be the team who gave up the fewest number of points (margin of victory).

I hope you all enjoy this opportunity to increase your winnings. Picks must be in before 1:00 Sunday.
