At the very least I'm glad guys like Brad Johnson are stepping forward and trying to bring some levity and insight into this ridiculous issue.

This thing is all fishy from the nfl. If a football was under inflated 2lbs you would know. It's not something that can be mistaken. Refs had to notice if it was under inflated. My guess if they didn't, something happened to them from being stored or they changed due to the weather.

I was the first Ravens fan to congratulate your team on destroying the Colts last weekend and making the SB, so I'm no troll. However, I want to weigh in on this from another fanbase perspective.

1. Have the Colts balls been checked for low pressure or just the Pats? If the Colts balls were underinflated too, then this situation is a non-issue and a wash.

2. If only Pats balls were under-inflated and this is not a prevalent practice in the NFL - this casts a permanent cloud of cheating in the Belichick era. Even if it was the ball boy who did it. What a crying shame because your team is better then any other team out there without resorting to "the end justifies the means" thinking. If true - your head coach needs to go to prove your team will not tolerate cheats. The Ravens have their fair share of thugs, but nobody hates anything more than a cheat in sports (e.g. Lance Armstrong).

I also notice the Ravens only said something yesterday.

That leads me to believe that this is widespread and not spoken of because everyone does it.

How the NFL sausage is made is becoming more open to the sausage eating public. Will they still be able to enjoy it as much as they did before they learned what went into it?

I've been saying this. Goodell is a disloyal weasel - in his mind he owes Kraft NOTHING. He'll come down on the Pats. I'm just worried it's something we can't come back from.
I remember few yrs ago he said in an interview to peter king that he didnt forget that belichick didnt apologize like he said he would do.

This really shouldn't be that hard for the NFL to get to the bottom of. Squeeze the ball boys until they rat out the guy that gave them the orders. Then squeeze that guy until he rats out who gave him the orders and keep doing that until you get to the last man standing. Hate to say it, but this just reeks of something BB would do to get a competitive advantage. Hope I'm wrong when the full report comes out.

Sure does seem only winning franchises get hammered. Offenses by losing franchises result in slaps on the wrist.

Yup, everyone will be impressed with your "zero tolerance" attitude toward the amount of air in footballs while treading lightly with multiple instances of domestic violence. Seems legit.
Hit the nail on the head right there. If he drops the hammer on us then The Emporer truly has no clothes.

Unfortunately as we saw in the filming incident seven years ago, the 'everybody does it' response will fall on deaf ears in both the court of public opinion as well as with Herr Kommissar.
The second time around it is not unfortunate.
Sorry.

Trying to hold off commenting till the investigation is complete, but getting angry at Pats excuse makers.
Losing respect for Zo by the second with his speeding ticket analogy.

Bottom line is the seattle has a huge advantage going into this game. They can just focus on football while NE has to worry about all this.

So there's a fella over at the BDC forums. He claims to work for ESPN in a smaller capacity and has often predicted various going-ons and happenings with the Patriots. Over the last 2-2.5 years, I can recall one, maybe two instances where he was later proven wrong, and dozens of times that his claims were validated. With that in mind, most take him at his word that he is indeed connected and has sources/knowledge.

He provided us with some great news this morning. I wouldn't take this as the gospel, just take it for what it's worth:

NFL will find no wrong doing by the team. the ball boys that the Pats use are local, but not employed by the Pats. they are paid by the NFL.

Pats did nothing wrong here, but that wont wipe away the stain...

Feels like Spygate all over again. Pagano is such a dooshbag for pulling this crap.

I really don't believe Belichick is this stupid. I think the Patriots need to fight back hard on this and they need to start soon in doing so.

Wow, that is honestly the best case scenario.
