Defensive Player of the Year candidates?

Players have won DPOY with less stats than Jones. It’s a seasonal thing, players perform well one year and fall off the next. Just because he underperformed here should not be a prequalification for his consideration of the award this year. He has great stats but I’d choose Campbell over him.

Surprised Bosa isn't getting more mentions. His presence as a rusher alone has completely transformed that defense and he's changed the way offenses attack them.

DeMarcus Lawrence from the Cowboys.

Has led the league in sacks this year for awhile. Now has 13.5 plus 4 forced fumbles. He’s been a beast all season. Seems to have recently lost the lead to Chandler Jones, who now has 14.0.

I have no idea what you're talking about

Because of their position flexibility, I firmly believe Bill focused on High and Collins as more of a priority to retain than Jones.

Im sure the the pot episode didn't help but his future with the team had already been determined.

I'd agree with that, although I also think he had a number on each and would have been willing to take any or all 3 at his number.

So even though he probably prioritized High and Collins, if Chandler was willing to play for that number (and I think it would have been higher than High's, but lower than the market), he might still be here.

Jordan Richards

1) A.J. Bouye. has a QB rating under 27%, 6 INT'S & 16 PD

2A) C.C. does it inside/outside. 12.5 Sacks, 10 TFL

2B) Clowney is has 9 sacks, 2nd in TFL w/ 20, 33 pressures (more than Jones, Bosa, Griffen, Jordan)

3) Joey Bosa is on his way to the HOF. So technical & strong. Great hands & motor.

4) Aaron Donald deserves more love & is a monster every game. King of BoB & Swat, Club & Arm Over. Another HOF player.

5) Marshon Lattimore has completely transformed that defense and gave them life. Great hands and using the sideline. Great closing speed. 45% QB rating

6) Bobby Wagner. Shaky DLine all year long and only 1 missed tackle? Leads solo tackles. 98.7 TKL % is best in league.

J. R. , D-Law, Griffen, Jones, Ingram, X Rhodes & Jimmy Smith have had great years too.
