DeAngelo Williams vs. Maroney

I thought I would put this out there for a comparison. John Fox is a Run first coach yet DeAngelo Williams has done nothing since the Panthers have drafted him. He has not been a 20 carry/game back and not broken many long runs.
Yes; they have no QB and Steve Smith is the ONLY player on offense that is any good but Williams has actually show less than Maroney has. Today as the Panthers are losing 31-6 he has 3 rushes for 14 yards.
While I have been down on Maroney a bit as other have I think we have the better runner. If he can stay healthy I believe he will be a good RB for us.

Do you honestly think Maroney would do better in Carolina's offense with David friggen Carr and Vinny old man Testaverde? Maroney would stink there too.

BTW, Williams has a 4.9 YPC this year. According to the Maroney homers on thsi board, that makes him a great back and it's better than MAroney's YPC. I don't know how you can say Maroney is better than Williams. Williams also has 17 receptions to Maroney's 2. I think Williams is better.

3 carries for 14 yards? I think that matches Maroney's 3 carries for 19 last other week.

I'd like for Maroney to prove that he's a feature back. But to do that he's got to show us something first.

Exactly. The way maroney has performed, I wouldn't be comparing him to anyone and saying Maroney is better. Maroney better show me something tonight.
