Hard to believe they'd want to get rid of Hopkins to acquire Garoppollo. Isn't the idea to give Hopkins someone to throw to him?
Here is the problem of Jimmy G to Texans. Brock spoiled the well. No way I can see that a QB with only a few games gets consideration from that organization again. Not that Jimmy G is not miles better than Brock, but think of the sour PR with their fan base.
In case this was a better thread for it, I mentioned a three way trade with K.C and perhaps Washington. I can understand why the Skins are reluctant to trade a decent QB to Kyle in SF. Kyle burned bridges. Not only that but you don't have a QB (McCoy???) in D.C.. Where is the QB?.....Cutler?
We know Andy Reid has been said to consider a young QB in this Draft. BB is close to Reid and has traded with Andy many times.
No one wants to give up two #1's for Jimmy G But.....D.C. Gets it's two picks (Snyder blood money) from the Niners (2017 and 2018), gives up it's first #17 back and a second and fifth. SUMMARY=Two firsts, Alex Smith and a second rounder back plus the Pats third #103.
K.C. gives up it's one and two and Alex Smith.
Smith goes to Skins and Jay Gruden can do something with him as he is stale in K.C., plus the Skins get a second from K.C. and our third #103.
SUMMARY=K.C. gets Jimmy G and the Skins second pick back (swap of picks about ten slots up)
The Pats get picks $17 from Washington and #27 from K.C. (two firsts) and a fifth from the Skins to give up Jimmy G and the Collins Comp pick #103.
SUMMARY=Pats get two firsts (#17 and #27) and a fifth for our third and Jimmy G
Just a for fun trade twister to hate or like.
