I am more confused now. I would get a Pats reference if indeed the Pats were being blamed for the Panthers 6-1 record. Ok, that is not it.

You mention that the Pats are destroyed in media and in public perception when they should be lauded. You used this example as a parallel to what is happening with the Panthers to show that people will believe whatever they want.

I dont see the similarity. There is direct. obvious, concrete, non debatable, NFL offical evidence that the Panthers are 7-0. Ok some guy said 6-1 and it was cute and went viral.

The Patriots situation is a team who was universally hated with a rep for cheating. Then some BS air pressure thing happened where for months there was speculation, where nobody had any idea what was going on. Then a report came out which was completely ambiguous, and seemed to (on the surface) incriminate the Patriots in a deflation scheme. It was certainly enough to sway public opinion.

How is this any where near similar to a phony cutesy 6-1 claim of a team who isnt 6-1? I cant make the connection.

Yes, silly and 8 year old like. However I am not sure if it is fair to the team. You have a football team. They went out and took care of business. Worked hard to get to 7-0. Some jackoff claims they are 6-1. Dosent that diminish the accomplishments of the team?

Not at all. What you have is an opposing teams fan who decided to tease a Panthers fan for boasting about his teams record. The mere feact that the Panthers fan decided to respond tipped people off that they could tease the guy about it and get him riled up. Then you had other fans of the Panthers jumping in trying to argue the record, when there really was no argument to be had. This led to a full blown troll event that has taken an absurdly hilarious turn. The fact that Panthers fans are arguing with them is what's keeping this going. Think about an opposing fan coming here and spouting off about asterisks because BB bugs locker rooms. We all know this isn't true. But, if that troll can just get a few people to add to the fire, you'll have a 120 reply thread in no time. With people investing real time to try and prove a poster wrong that never believed the accusation in the first place. Is trolling stupid? Yes, it is. Ive never understood people that get off on making people upset or angey, no matter how trivial it may be. But, the memes being generated by the community are fantastic.

There's not much today that would rival any of the aforementioned. Seth MacFarlane has put out some good stuff (a lot of it influenced by the creators of Monty Python.)

First it was a great convo on the differences in peoples taste in humor. Sorry of your could not grasp that. Nobody was claiming any humor gauge superiority here. So I dont see the reason to come in and antagonize. But that is who you are....and here we are again with you being a dink.

Also, I find it ironic that those who think (or try) to be really PC about everything tend to be the biggest ****ies in real life.
And since you directed another snide post at me, I will be happy to point out it was in vain as I merely was indicating I did not find 6-1 funny, more because I did not get it. I at least admitted that.

Also I had the nuts to put up lists of things I did think were funny and did not to show what I think is funny.
