When I read it, I hear Sam Kinison's voice. He was a funny Bastard.

Deadspin = Gawker = garbage
Edit: actually, I clicked through and found myself kinda enjoying the read. That Simmons article/mailbag was pretty insufferable, and I can't stand a large portion of our fan base for the same reasons that he pointed out.
If it seems like the majority of Pats fans have no idea how to handle losing a few games, it's because they don't. They've only been around since 12-14 wins per season and a run at the Super Bowl became the norm.
Yeah, boo hoo. We're the worst. That's why all our games have been sold out forever and our team is something like 2nd in the NFL in terms of merchandizing. Yeah, we really suck....
Hey look! Another person that didn't actually read the humorous article.
I read it, and I didn't find it all that humerous. Why are you treating me as if I am some troll you've never heard of?
It's true. I was around during the Carroll days but I was very young and wasn't as "into" football during that time as I am now. I suspect many of the younger generation are like that. The things that help keep it in perspective for me are the fact that I root for other teams that went through slow periods or losing seasons (Heat, Gators, Red Sox, etc.). Like I always say, this forum will empty out considerably when Brady leaves and this team starts to stumble.

That Simmons article was an embarrassment. Yes
Deadspin is great Sometimes
and the article was spot on. No -- not funny. Only has one idea, swears unimaginatively.
If you don't agree, you're probably one of the spoiled bratfans he's talking about. Of course -- how could I have failed to notice?
Don't be satisfied with just being there, bro, that's what they do in Minnesota and Buffalo. Win or go home. LMAO. Nut up or shut up. (sitting here in my office, laughing to myself) Second place is the first loser. :rocker:Never mind that you came within two plays of having FIVE Super Bowls, one as recently as eight GD months ago. No, no ... now you're snakebitten, am I to understand that correctly?
Shh. Don't point out Tommy's return to the human race. TB12 hasn't been human since his spike in the Snowbowl. Since then, it's three rings, game winning drives, 16-0 season, 50 TD's, multi-million dollar contacts, metro-sexual magazine covers, starlets and supermodels. We don't want him to be like us, fallible, don't remind us. We see it.Your Hall of Fame QB, who is still markedly better than just about every other NFL quarterback, sometimes make mistakes now!
I resent the word "fan" being used on a false basis so often. You are not a fan, just because you own a sweatshirt.
Dont know what a fan is? Go watch the Browns play, and look around. You might just find a person who is the definition of a fan.
