Safety is one of the few positions where the Patriots aren't currently deep. I love any addition we can get at that position at the moment.

He should get some playing time on September 1st before the home fans. We need expendable bodies out there for the 2nd half of the last pre-season game.

Good news for him is that Mark LeVoir is no longer with the team, which means Ihedigbo won't be getting completely annihilated in practice the way he did in '09.

I wish that Bill had sealed the deal w/ Dashon Goldson, but local dude Diggy is a decent plan B-.
We still could use another Goldson-type FS, though; Diggy, Sergio, Barrett & Chung are more SS-types, and Sanders is a bit of a tweener.
35-yo Darren Sharper appears to still be the best FS available. I hope that Bill liked enough of what he saw last week to sign him in case the others aren't ready.
