My father in law just tried to make this argument. Laughed in his face and retired to my man cave....

May have to banish him from games down here....

Its official we got him!!!

Now get Peppers and all of a sudden this would be an amazing FA.

Only have about $6.4m in cap room now. Will need to make some other move in order to do all that (Wilfork? A. Wilson? Connelly? Kelly?).

Edit -- don't take this as criticism of the Revis signing, I'm thrilled and shocked! Just pointing out a side effect.

They can sign some people by limiting the first-year hit. And they've got some moves left to free up some money.

It'd be nice if VW agreed to a restructure.

I'm pretty optimistic that will happen.... for some reason, this is one of the offseason (potential) maneuverings that isn't stressing me out....

I don't think he's going to agree to a pay cut, so the only thing left is to extend him for another couple of years to get this yr's cap hit spread out.

I've thought that an extension was much more likely than cutting him the whole time though, so we'll have to see what happens.
