Darrelle Revis: “My body’s breaking down”

There were times when he was here BB gave Revis safety help over the top. He realized Revis was losing a step and used him accordingly. BB knows and can see players declining and was smart enough to let him go.

Jets didn't think twice before signing him. He is getting burnt badly this season. May be they thought it was he who caught the game sealing INT in the superbowl.

Jets were wise to land you last season. Maybe the only reason the Patriots didn't put up a big stink on the fact that they essentially opened their door to your return while you were under contract with the Pats.

His contract was excellent news to the AFCE :).

It'll likely be restructure or door for him. I will never forget his contributions to #4 though.

The Patriots knew their max bet, and, more importantly, when to walk away from the table.

Revis' subsequent play notwithstanding, it is still a glaring example of the NFL* 's anti-Pats and pro-Rats bias.

$100,000.00 fine for blatant tampering?

Unreal.

say that again?

That's odd, Brady is just getting better and he is 39. Guess Revis should have taken better care of himself.

His former agents mentioned he didn't train well in offseason.

Particularly considering it was literally the example the rules cites.

Kraft should memorize the exact wording of what was said, and repeat it for another player and see what happens. Ideally it would be about a Jets' player, but pretty slim pickings there. D-lineman maybe.

How can you justify paying someone that much who willingly admits this?
The Rats don't really have much of a choice. His salary cap hit is there whether he plays or not. Besides they made such a big deal out of signing him. Remember all that "Welcome Home" horse crap? He really is "the face of the franchise". It'd be almost unbelievable if they bench him. They'll just do what they've been doing, give him a game or two or three off from time to time.

His big salary cap hit makes it hard for them to sign anyone next year, and the Rats really need to bring in fresh blood. And now Fitzy's resurgence moves them further away from the #1 overall draft pick which clearly seems destined for Cleveland. SOFJ!

Belichick has to be or is one of the best talent evaluators of all time. He is very good at identifying a players value and doesn't hesitate to let a player walk if the price is out of his range. I would like to know what he thought Revis was worth after the 2014 season.

Iirc they offered him over 35 million so we have an idea.

You want the Patriots to lose their next 3 first round picks? ;)
