Maybe the only reason the Patriots didn't put up a big stink on the fact that they essentially opened their door to your return while you were under contract with the Pats.
His contract was excellent news to the AFCE .
say that again?Jets were wise to land you last season. Maybe the only reason the Patriots didn't put up a big stink on the fact that they essentially opened their door to your return while you were under contract with the Pats.

His former agents mentioned he didn't train well in offseason. That's odd, Brady is just getting better and he is 39. Guess Revis should have taken better care of himself.
Particularly considering it was literally the example the rules cites.Revis' subsequent play notwithstanding, it is still a glaring example of the NFL* 's anti-Pats and pro-Rats bias.
$100,000.00 fine for blatant tampering?
Unreal.
The Rats don't really have much of a choice. His salary cap hit is there whether he plays or not. Besides they made such a big deal out of signing him. Remember all that "Welcome Home" horse crap? He really is "the face of the franchise". It'd be almost unbelievable if they bench him. They'll just do what they've been doing, give him a game or two or three off from time to time. How can you justify paying someone that much who willingly admits this?

Belichick has to be or is one of the best talent evaluators of all time. He is very good at identifying a players value and doesn't hesitate to let a player walk if the price is out of his range. I would like to know what he thought Revis was worth after the 2014 season.
Particularly considering it was literally the example the rules cites.
Kraft should memorize the exact wording of what was said, and repeat it for another player and see what happens. Ideally it would be about a Jets' player, but pretty slim pickings there. D-lineman maybe.
Iirc they offered him over 35 million so we have an idea.
