Godwin is staying in Tampa
Evans said he would take a cut to keep the team intact as is.
The winning Brady effect.
Tampa has some big FAs (David, Gronk, Brown, Fournette, Godwin, Barrett) and 24m...BUT, they'll extnd Brady for two years and drop that 25m hit by 10 m. That team will be pretty much intact next year. Not happening

Zero chance Evans takes a pay cut. Extension to lower his cap number, sure. Godwin isn't leaving, they'll franchise him if necessary. Tons of good FA and draft WR this year, though.
He was their best receiver last year and would have been their best receiver again this year without the injuriesI think Godwin is a number 2 that will be paid like a number 1.
The we are winning with Brady affectDon't tell amendola

I agree. Godwin is good, not great IMO. Someone said he wanted $16M+ per year. Crazy money in the down market.I don't know who we will target but I have never been a big fan of Godwin. He is fast but outside of that..meh. Just keep Byrd.

Reiss is getting in on the aggressive predictions too.
Offseason in three or fewer words: Belichick's Revenge Tour
It's time for the Patriots, who went 7-9 in their first year post-Tom Brady and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2008, to get aggressive in improving the talent across the roster -- especially at quarterback, receiver and tight end. Just as Bill Belichick took an aggressive approach in the 2007 offseason, adding receivers Randy Moss and Wes Welker, he's expected to be aggressive in that area this offseason, as well.
