I'm a documented Faulk "hater" but I think there is very, very little chance he is cut this year. Look at it this way - Bruschi is but a shell of his former self, his talent has already declined but no one is suggesting he's about to be dumped. Like Bruschi, Faulk is, for better or worse, a veteran 'leader' and BB values the continuity these guys bring a great deal. Their quality of play might slip but the attitude and dedication of these older players cannot effectively be replaced by very young players regardless of how talented they may be. Maroney isn't established yet and Morris is a career backup, like Evans and Pass, etc. So, if Faulk can at least simply run straight ahead he will be kept on this team for his presence until a new generation at RB is more clearly molded. The fact that he might still be productive is secondary at this point, just like it is for Tedy.
You are right...based primarily on veteran status and his continued ability to come in and make a huge play for us at a pivotal point in a game...outweighs his quite frequent ability to KILL us at a pivotal point in a game......but just by a little......seriously...he will be here at least one more year......
