Has a TV broadcaster ever been credited with throwing an interception or is this a first?

I’m lost here

He almost needed to be removed from the booth for over excitement of Mahomes and the Chiefs playing for a TD instead of a FG, and I think he had an orgasm on the air while breaking down the most wonderful interception pass of all-time and talking about how it was still the right decision.

I can’t remember, by the way, how much did the Chiefs end up losing by?

I thought he was going to do a side by side of Odell’s pass to Barkley and that great pick Mahomes threw.

I wonder if the fans of our opponents have the same threads *****ing about Collinsworth repeatedly calling Brady the GOAT and how this showed his Pats bias.

Probably. I don't really see Collinsworth as biased...just super annoying and over exaggerating everything. But after giving in and watching a baseball game with Joe Buck, I've come to accept there are much worse broadcasters, so all in all I'd prefer they keep him because they'd choose someone much worse to replace him with.

Everyone loves Mahomes. Even saw a headline this am re: Mahomes was the real winner last night. hahaha.

They all loved Sanchez, Kap, RGIII, Luck,...... flavour of the weAk.

yeah he's a general clown, not a homer clown

but that decision cost them the game.....i have no problem with aggro playcalling to try and get the 7......but the decision by mahomes to throw across his body, on the run, with high hanging on his shirt, into double/triple coverage absolutely cost them the game

throw that ball away, take the 3, and we might be talking differently this AM

now the pats DID just play for the 3 at the end, and had plenty of time to put that one in the EZ in the last 2 minutes, but that was a poor QB decision......he makes some great throws on busted plays, def gotta keep that kid in the pocket, but that was a decision his QB coach will be showing him a few times this week

The nation is thirsty for a new era of dominant players and teams.

They'll get nothing and like it.

Thank you for the excellent Caddyshack reference.

Mahomes is something special in terms of talent. That said, it's hard to separate the hype from reality because they've overhyped quarterbacks like Prescott, Carr, and so many others. I think Mahomes is starting to play a lot worse, though, because he's starting to prefer bailing on the pocket before there's even pressure, whereas in the first three weeks where he was really dominant, he was making quick passes and releasing the ball immediately. He is a great passer on the run, but I think it's a lot easier to figure out a quarterback's tendencies when he gets outside the pocket. Not surprisingly, his interceptions have started to appear since he's embraced the role of scrambler. Reid should reign him in before he screws up his game too much. Even Aaron Rodgers, who has been the best passer on the run for many years, plays much better when throwing from the pocket.

Mahomes has some pretty quick people around him

Agree.

There is a ton of talent in this league.

At some point the talent needs to win consistently

Collinsworth is a good commentator. The best color guy along with Romo and I don't think it is close.

His BS during Super Bow 49 made me lose some respect but otherwise he is good.

He is simply fulfilling his job description: create excitement about the product the NFL puts on the field. It may not be our definition of his job description, but we don't get a say in this.

Collinsworth's problem, to my mind, is that he goes beyond being the color commentator, and doesn't leave Al Michaels enough time tocall the play-by-play. Collinsworth's job is to enhance Michaels game calling, NOT overshadow and make it secondary.

He's good at what he does. The casual fan can get a lot of info from his comments which is a good thing for the game.
