I wonder what effect Crennel's firing will have on the Pats

I am saying this because I remember after Saban left the Dolphins we were able to pick up 2 very good players from them (Welker and Morris). I am sure that Saban put in a good word to his old buddy BB about these players. I hope when Crennel ultimately leaves, BB may be able to speak with Romeo and pry away some talent from the rowns.

How's about the Stallworth kid?

Depending upon which coaches get the jobs and what type of defense they run, it's possible that the Patriots will be able to use both the Jets and the Browns as feeder systems for the next year or two.

Not if Mangini takes over the team. My understanding is that RAC and he were close, closer then even BB and RAC.

AND the rumor is if Mangini is hired as HC in Cleveland, Romeo will return as Defensive Coordinator.

BS no man with any integrity would do that..you dont go back to a job that just fired you to work at a lower position unless your children are starving

A man of integrity who liked his coworkers and liked the organization would CERTAINLY go back to the job they had just been fired at to work at a position they knew they'd be good at.

You're confusing integrity and egotism.

BB didn't need Saban to tell him what Morris and Welker could do.

Crennel has already stated that he would consider staying

with the Browns depending on who the head coach will be.

What man of integrity would want to work for Eric Mangini?

How about that McGinnest guy?

Crennel has already stated that he would come back to the Browns as their Defensive Coordinator if "the right man" got the Head Coaching position, I.E. in Crennel's world, Eric Mangini.

What about Gunther Cunningham?

Didn't he go to the Titans before he want back to the Chiefs?? I think it's a different dynamic to have a respite than to be the head coach and then immediately become a DC or OC after getting fired........

Not saying we need to go after him, is he even available? He doesn't look as finished to me.

He put a concussion on Big Ben.....maybe a back up role for AD

I'd love to have Donte back to be honest. I love Gaffney to but I would like to see him in the other slot opposite Welker. Our passing game was damn near unstoppable to two vertical threats in Stallworth and Moss and two good receivers willing to go over the middle in Gaffney and Welker. Brady had nothing but praise for him as well. The only questions are: would the Browns let him go? And, if so, would he come here again for cheap?

If he does not, I won't lose any sleep. We already have a very good, very talented WR corps.
