I wouldn't consider 285 lanky, either. Jarvis Green prob. weighed less than that when he was drafted in 2002.
As for his 33-1/4" arms, they're the same as Vollmer's, and SeaBass is 2-3 " taller.
Carrington is closer to an early/mid - mid 3rd-round talent than he is to a 2nd-rounder, but because Bill threw away his 3rd & 5th-rounders, he would have to use #53 in order to secure Carrington's services. That's obviously much too early for Uncle Heatster's taste, just as Arthur Jones, Austen Lane, Lamarr Houston & CJ Wilson are just a bit too early for mine.
And I don't feel that Carrington is a poor fit here at 3-4 DE; Corey Wootton, OTOH, is a terrible fit here, both at DE & OLB. And as I mentioned in another thread, Al Woods doesn't have the intangibles of a 2nd/3rd-round value, either.
What about Tyson Alualu in the 2nd round?
