We don't want any flash in the pans, we expect our players to play better and smarter for the long haul.

There's no doubt some top picks can start and get by on great athletic ability. But do they progress?

I'll take learning slowly and gradually and becomiing a great player over rookie of the year, then regressing and having mediocre injury filed seasons.

I think the tell tell sign as to how the team feels about Meriweather's progression is to see what kind of offer, if any, they make Wilson. If they let Geno go without at least making an offer, they are probably comfortable with Meriweather playing lots of snaps next year especially with Rodney's age creaping up. Remember, Rodney this year is actually in week 13...helping him I believe.
