Yeah that was the biggest headscratcher. I know he's one of the NFL leaders in passes defensed( believe hes top 5), which is the single most important stat for a cb. He got picked last year but in IMO is better this year. Excellent cover man, tackling machine and hits like a freakin strong safety/ lb. Ah well, guess those other probowl cbs can watch Malcolm help win another Lombardi.

Look, we know the only reason why Butler is able to do that is because the Pats play Cover 2. By the logic of everyone in this thread, Princeton Sanders should be a Pro Bowler.......

butler, blount, and cannon all snubbed

oh well, they'll be busy getting ready for the SB!!!
Cannon has been mediocre at best up until about 2 weeks ago. Earlier in the season I was hoping we would trade him. I am glad he is showing up to play now though. Butler and Blount, as you said, well they will be busy the week after the Pro Bowl, so no sense in worrying about a game none of them will play in anyway.

Butler and blount are also snubbed on the snubbed list. Lol.

Put down the Pipe man. Cannon has been good from the start of the year and Great from the 3rd game one. Haven't you been listening at all?

If I'd been picking I would have Cannon, Butler, AND Chung all going before Hightower, who has had a decent but very unspectacular year imho. I bet Chung, not Hightower is the team's tackle leader. And I agree with Slater that Ebner should have been the pro bowl selection. Visibility DOES matter, and as now a 5 time selection, Matthew has taken on Logan Mankins title as the pro bowl selection emeritus.

BTW- I don't feel so bad about the Pats snubs after hearing that Zach Brown won't be going to the pro bowl. IF he isn't going after the year he is having, than no one should.

Personally I think the Pats are pretty cool since they are acknowledged as the best team in the league and only have 3 guys from their offense and defense make the team, while even the Titans had 5 and the Raiders, who have had their first winning season since 2002, have 8 or 9.

Maybe that Bellichick guy really is a good coach to keep winning without those star players.

I bet Chung, not Hightower is the team's tackle leader.
It's Logan Ryan at 81 (67 single, 14 combined). Chung has 80 (46 single, 34 combined). McCourty is third with 65 (55 single, 10 combined). Then comes Hightower with 64 (30 single, 34 combined).

I'll take Marty over Delanie Walker, thanks.

Cannon has been lights out for most of the year, no clue what how you can say he was mediocre or even worse you would trade him on the steal that is his current contract.

Rich Hill over at PatsPulpit even wrote an article explaining how the changes to the AP All Pro team make it likely that Cannon could make the team making the case that only Schrader (Falcons RT) is playing better than him.

I listen and I watch and both tackle spots have been suspect at the beginning and middle of this season. Cannon has played very well, I am not denying that. I have seen both tackle positions as turn styles at the beginning of the season. And Cannon has been a different player lately. Both have seemed to turn the corner though. And Scharnecchia has been a huge reason for their success.

This statement is flat out incorrect.

Since the CIN game he's been consistently dominant.

...As his extension signed on 11/30 indicates how the team views his play.
I know Watt was done for the season after but he shut him down before the Bengals game. Held Suggs, Avril, Miller, and Watt to milk carton performances.

Watt was cooked.

Vs CIN he allowed a sack and 3 hurries.

Since then he's erased the best pass rushers in the league
