DMac now made it as both cornerback and safety (at last). Has any other player changed positions and made it as both before?

There have been front 7 players who made it at different positions due to year-to-year alignment changes. JJ Watt actually made it as a DE and DT at the same time once. I think that was the All Pro team though.

I thought Nate Ebner might make it this year because he co-leads on tackles for Special Teams in the league.

I know Slater is a beast but some years it seems like the voters just remember from muscle memory who should be selected rather than taking a close look at different players who might be more deserving due to their stellar play.

And the already sizeable chips on the shoulders of pretty much every Pats defender- just got a little bigger. How the hell is Malcolm Butler not a probowler? And Chung had a strong case. On offense Blount and Cannon had solid cases for it. Watch out, nfl- the Patriots are coming!

I understand why Blount missed- the RB's are a logjam in the AFC this year. I can't believe Butler missed though. Huge snub.

Yeah that was the biggest headscratcher. I know he's one of the NFL leaders in passes defensed( believe hes top 5), which is the single most important stat for a cb. He got picked last year but in IMO is better this year. Excellent cover man, tackling machine and hits like a freakin strong safety/ lb. Ah well, guess those other probowl cbs can watch Malcolm help win another Lombardi.

Cannon is the biggest snub.

Marcus, you da man! Keep on....

...firing.

Congrats to Hightower for his first pro bowl. It's well deserved and especially impressive considering he's played virtually the whole season on a torn meniscus.

Butler and Blunt were screwed IMHO.

They gave it to Casey Heyward instead, so they went with the Interceptions it seems.

I'm with you on the Ebner choice. Despite him not even having a training camp due to the Olympics, I can literally point to every game where he made an awesome tackle or play.

Also, if I had my way I'd put Jimmy Develin as an honorable mention, just because of the difference he makes to this running game. Blount has been nothing short of spectacular this season, but without his run blocking (and pass blocking for that matter) this doesn't happen.
