Thats interesting b/c I didnt know that Belli calls out Brady. Besides the obvious SB rings and coaching ability do you know what the difference is betweenn Belli and Mangina? Players actually respect him. How many times have you heard players say that Belli has a great personality behind closed doors and is a funny dude. I know players on the Jets who loathe mangina. The guy got a huge ego after a surprising first year and ever since he has a my way or the high way mentality

You're absolutly right. I met belichick in the offseason and he was 100% different from his press conference 'act'. He was thanking everyone for supporting the Pats and laughing and talking to everyone there. The vets (moss, bruschi vrabel) love and respect him...the rookies fear and respect him.

The Jets are an ambarrassment to the NFL. Pathetic. Brett Favre is the most overrated QB ever. He has won one freaking Super Bowl and done nothing else. How in God's name does an 11-5 team miss the playoffs but 8-8 gets in? F the Jets...F Goodell (piece of crap) and F the NFL...what a joke!

Brett should retire without informing anyone. Who would care?

A few months after retiring for the 10nth time he'll probably come back for the "Brett Favre Redemtion Tour" hopefully with the jests.

They spent $140 million to make 3rd in the AFC East, even without having to face Brady. Amazing.

Woody Johnson has a choice. Extend Mangini (unlikely in my opinion) or fire him.

Having a lame duck coach, on the rocks and in the last year of his contract isn't going to help attract the bargain free agents that the Jets can afford. Johnson either offers a vote of confidence in Mangini or cuts him loose. No in between.

The US goverment should send the JETs to find terrorist. All the Jets are good for is rating people out

The jets were 4-12 last year and made many acquistions to improve the team to 9-7 and to a team in playoff contention on the last day. They signed Favre and he will likely retire in a few days or weeks. I think they should have kept Pennington.

But, in the end, Mangini isn't Parcells. He and his staff didn't do enough.

The jet fans are among the worst in footballl, led my the worst media.

It would seem that a team that goes from 4-12 to 9-7, and almost to the playoffs should be celebrated. They weren't expected to do anything in this rebuilding year. They should considered to have a season similar to Dallas who also slid at the end and went 9-7.

Like Dallas. Without the talent, coaching staff, front office or fan base. Otherwise, yeah. Just like Dallas.

They both had similar egos, however. A pair of teams filled with trailer trash soap opera wannabes.
