Holy crap, I just watched the penalty from the highlights and that just might be one of the worst calls I've seen in a long time. Reeves didn't even touch Garcon!

I thought he wanted to ask him out on a date, watch he holds his hand for a brief second, not worth a penalty but that had to be what they called.

OMFG. Take your head out of Peyton's arse, would you? First, Collie tries to push off (you can clearly see Collie's hand on the defender's chest at 2:05 of the video). That is OFFENSIVE pass interference. Does it get called? NO.

Second, Colts defenders REGULARLY defend receivers the way the Texans CB did and the Colts CBs don't get called. That's BS.

Look you and I are both Colt fans however we come at this from very different places. I know I am on a Pats board and more often then not I am going to be the bad guy simply because I am a Colts fan, So I don't try to incite and ill towards me. One bad call didn't make Schaub throw two costly INT's and a lost fumble.

One bad call didn't allow Manning to gash the Texans in the 2nd half.

One bad call didn't make up for a 17 point deficit.

You point to the incomplete pass and because you didn't know the rule, you act like the Pats benefited from a bogus call. Unfortunately for you, the correct call was made.

The Patriots didn't cheat with the whole video-taping issue. All they did was video-tape from an unauthorized location. The mediots and uneducated people like yourself don't understand that EVERY TEAM video tapes coaches. The issue is that they are only allowed to video tape from specific locations in the stadium.

The Colts getting the benefit of the DPI calls has been happening for at least 4 years, but probably longer. If you don't like Pats fans talking the TRUTH and FACTS, you can leave any time you want.

I always try to flip it when I'm thinking about these things.

If I was on a Colts board and Colts fans were talking about how the Titans got all of the calls, for example. And how it was unfair that they continue to own the refs and that the league is conspiring to cheat for the Titans.... what would I say.

I'd probably say, wow, you really think...


1.) There's a 2nd gunman type conspiracy?

2.) Do you think Titans wouldn't win without this unfair penalty calling?

3.) Why would the league want to screw of the other 31 teams like this?

4.) Do other teams than the Titans get these calls on sometimes?

5.) Why? Is marketing the game to promote Vince Young worth this obvious WWF scripting and the questioning that follows?

6.) Shouldn't they cheat for their big markets like the Giants, Jets, and Chicago, instead of um Nashville?

7.) Shouldn't the Colts try to influence or intimidate the league officials like the Titans GM does, since it's working for them?

8.) Is it really true that these bad DPI call only happen to teams playing the Titans?

9.) Why has no one else except for fans of other teams picked up on this blatant act. No one, not opposing coaches, players, GMs? Why haven't the media blown the top off of this awesome story, this is a career maker for some journalist somewhere.

Or maybe it's just a bad call. And maybe if you wanted to put in the time you could find 100s of bad calls historically for other teams and make the same case.

Bad calls go against/for every team. Bad calls do not decide games. Bad calls don't lead Shaub to 3 4th quarter TO's. It is what it is.

The Bad Call on Reeves occured prior to those 3 turnovers. You take that bad call out and the result of that bad call and what happens? Everything AFTER that changes. Instead of 1st and 10 from the Houston 19, it's 2nd and 10 from the Indy 38. And it changes what Indy does.

Having watched all the games the last 4 years, and being able to forecast these phantom PI calls BEFORE they happen, is statistically impossible, short of me being Nostradamus or Edgar Cayce.

I firmly believe we did put men on the moon,yet believe there was more than one gunman. I try to keep an open mind, and not let the theories fit the facts.

PI, holding etc, could probably be called on more than 50% of plays.

Why they are called, and when they are called, should NOT be something that can so easily be predicted by a moron such as myself, who is far far far from a Football expert, nor a seer.

As the third quater started, I said to a friend, T minus 2 minutes for the Phantom PI Call, and et voila.....

The Donaghy stuff in the NBA is believable b/c NBA refs have just been there too damn long and some have bigger egos than the players. There is no question they play favorites, play to the crowd, make calls to draw attention to themselves, etc. I'm sure a large portion of what Donaghy says is complete BS, but the heart of the issue - refs manipulating a game or officiating in an unethical manner - could very well hold true for the NBA.

I do not think it is the case for the NFL. These refs are doing this part-time, they aren't doing it 82 times a year and gaining relationships & feuds with the players the way NBA refs do. There is much more transparency in NFL refereeing. There is no room for the sketchy stuff that goes on in the NBA.

As I said there are two factors - a) home crowds CAN influence calls in any sport, its human nature b) the Polian factor may be real.

Colt fans ignore everything Jimmy Johnson says about spygate. Johnson said he spied on other teams. Howard Mudd is on the Colts staff and was one of the best at it according to Johnson. Does what he says have any credibility? Enough with this stupid Cheatriots and Belicheat crap. I know Colt fans will never admit to getting favortism in the officiating. Even though I read on other message boards that even some patriot haters admitted that they gave Faulk a bad spot on the 4th and 2 play. Colt fans can't admit to anything.

Now on youtube there is a clip of Bill Parcells chewing out Steve Young when he said how the 49ers messed with their headsets but had scripted plays planned before the game. To me it sounds like all teams took part in this type of gamesmanship. Even Lamar Hunt was one of the best at spying when he coached. I'm sure there was probaly a code between all coaches to not talk about this kind of stuff and rat on each other.

Oh yea and the Colt fans who probaly think we are the ones whining about the officiating. Is 2003 too long to remember how your team whined and put a spin on the game how our DB's mugged your WR's. Well it seems like a coincidence that your team benefited most from the rule change of the no contact after 5 yards. Before it was allowed as long as you didn't interfere with the receivers ability to catch the ball. You guys lobbying for rule changes to give your team a competive advantage over others, plus with the biased officiating that always seems to take place.

On top of that I remember a game in 2007 I believe it was against the Colts where Moss got called for OPI, when he didnt even touch anybody. I don't think the ball was even catchable on that play. I never seen a team get so many breaks from the officials.

I think it's sad the Colts need help from the referees to win games. On top of that it's even sadder that they couldn't beat the steelers in the 2005 afc playoff game while the officials tried to help the Colts out because they were losing. Polamalu getting overturned on the int when he clearly had the pick.
