Cole Strange Activated for Cards Game... but wasn't active... Cuz We Can't Have Nice Things...

By the way, the title of this thread needs to be amended.
I am empowered to do that...

The original title of the thread was Cole Strange nearing the end of Rehab... Was updated to reflect his activation for the Cards game... which was made prior to him not playing...

What changes to the title should be made?

May I suggest:

Cole Strange was activated to be inactive

I'd say that one line sums up about how coherent our management team is right now.

Does this team have a clue how to use these pup/ir lists. They keep activating players with time left on their practice window that are not ready to play. Can anyone explain why they would activate him not to play him or even dress him?

And for the love of God he's got to be better than Brown or Robinson if he ever is ready.
Strange’s 3 weeks were up, so they had to either put him on the active roster or end his season. They could have waited to start his 3 week window, but he probably got more out of the extra week of practice than keeping Osborn on the roster and inactive would have accomplished.

So Strange was a healthy scratch?

The coaches see him in practice, for all we know he looked **** in practice so they decided to let the other crappy OL play today instead of him.

Not a good sign. This team needs OL help desperately and Strange can't even get on the field. What a horrible waste of a 1st round pick by BB.

This is why I don't like drafting non-premium positions in the 1st round. That's flushing draft capital down the toilet.

"And we wasted our time watching him thinking he'd be at 104 maybe. Hahahaha!" That sums up that pick.

Why on earth do you care what that walking twat waffle Sean Mcvay thinks?

none of the highest rated OT's are rated higher than worthy of a pick in the 10-15 range. These are guys who look like they could end up being good solid starters or they could end up being a guy like Becton. This is clearly not a great year for sure fire OT franchise guys like Alt or the kid from the Lions.

My point is if you think that OT is an absolute MUST in the first round, then you HAVE to trade down and watch someone pick one of the impact defensive players or a QB, DT, Edge or WR. There are some very interesting OTs that will be available in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. But they come with even greater risks. Bottom line I wouldn't be happy if we drafted an OT at #3.
Even Alt .. if I’m not mistaken .. is playing on the right side ? Which is even more of a reason to be careful ..

Maybe because Strange has played like a 4th round value prospect instead of a 1st ever since the draft?

Strange is still one of the biggest reaches and mistakes of BB's draft career and he's made some really bad picks.

When you don’t have 53 NFL players it doesn’t hurt to cut one for no reason

so what? Because he was a reach, we have to pillory ourselves with mcvay? It was three years ago. Time to let **** go... And
despite being a reach, he's also the best lineman we have.

You could have taken aiyuk or Pittman by staying at 23 had they not taken harry. Hypotheticals of course.
They could have also traded back out of the 1st Round in the the draft before and gotten both Metcalf AND A.J. Brown.

It’s funny because at the beginning of the season there was talks of Harrison being a bust because he wasnt doing squat and turned it around. Shame our guys couldn’t have done the same. Maybe when Wolfie drafts a CB and makes them a WR things will be all good. /s

Folks are whining because they wanted to see Strange play.

It mad exactly ZERO difference to the game or the team if Strange played this past week end or next.

Huh... So the ho hum line play is okay with you then, while the best guy we have is sidelined? That's a loser mentality.

He might not be the best offensive lineman in the league, but he's the best we have. So hell yes I want to see him play.

Beau Allen: "Hold my beer... "

we could i suppose start the Isaiah Wynn Award... awarded to the most frequently injured lineman....
This team is a joke. It's going to take him over a month to get into football shape. Barmore and peppers still aren't in football shape. 2025 here we come. New HC new players
