The Pats will sign/draft better OL players this off season. He's average at best.
Cole Strange wasn't a favorite First Round selection: but his play was decent arch. I think our Interior OL play will be much improved. Maye will be able to step up now keeping his eyes on the outsides. Maye's eyes won't have to multi-task watching for leaks up the middle now.

Stranger when healthy is a solid player. I just personally don't believe he will have a long career. As it's said.. in the NFL once you start getting injured you don't get healthier as your career goes on. But will be good to have him back protecting Drake.

This version of the Patriots is terrible at player evaluation, period, but the Pats have been abysmal at receiver evaluation for years. Other teams can tell what a player is good at, decide if he's a good fit, and exploit strengths and minimize weaknesses to get the best out of the talent they have.
Jonnu Smith is the prime example. Great stats with Titans (19-20), crap stats with Pats (21-22), great stats with Falcons (23) and great stats with Miami (24). Has played well for 3 out of 4 teams. Is he the problem or could the coaching staff not recognize and scheme how to use him correctly. The fact that the slump in performance not being the beginning or end of this six year time frame clearly points to the fact that the coaching staff failed to utilize him to maximize his value. He did not fail the Pats...the Pats failed him.

What leads you to believe they will draft sign better players this off season? The need for improvements on the line existed last year and wasnt addressed and the same group of clowns are driving the bus.

Different players are available this off season.
I agree there will be different players but we have the same group of people making the decisions and I have little to no faith in them at this point. I don't expect them to make good decisions until I see them actually make good decisions. Sidenote...the Maye pick I don't count. They simply took the best available at the time and seem to have hit gold. If they had the #1 pick would they have taken him....nope.

@archstanton543: when I get you that Cole Strange authentic Jersey don't get pissed off.

What if he does excellent at C like our old pal Hjalte? I’d re sign him if not only for the bit of continuity/experience he has here. Just wouldn’t break the bank and I don’t think he’d reset the market if let to test FA.
Strange is signed through 2025. The patriots should not use the 5th year option on him. If he is good, he is worth resigning as a mid tier guy.

If he wants to sign here.

Put your faith in whoever you want. I don't have faith in anyone anywhere.

Maye is entertaining. He's got one win as a starter.

Agholor is doing well for ravens. Meyers is dependable as usual for raiders even with a sloppy support cast.

Juju serviceable. Somebody should be asking questions about coaching . Maybe Polk and baker not developing could also be coaching .

Watch out for the posters who will rush to his defense saying he's only had one injury when he's missed plenty of other games due to injury.
Agreed I got attacked yesterday becuase I referred to him as stranger LOL.. he's a solid player nothing special. He needs to stay on the field in order to reach his full potential.

Krafty might want to check in with Lurie down in Philly. Solid Oline for years. Limited amount of injuries. Seems like when you kick some *** it's the other teams players getting hurt. Those early 2000's Pats teams inflicted serious pain on the opposition.

Lots of games played and injuries, too.

When did he miss "plenty of other games?"

He played the third most offensive snaps and started every game as a rookie.

He hurt his knee at the end of training camp last season, played on the injured leg then took a shot on the same injured knee. That was year two... one injury. You're just making stuff up.
