Common games are the 3rd tie break for non division teams, so we need the Broncos to lose at least 2 games from the Jags, Chargers or Chiefs and we need to win out for a shot at the 1 seed. Givin our road play, might it be better to get a lower seed??

It’s really skipping the first game that’s so huge. Agree with you that it wouldn’t be such a big deal to go on the road, although Denver is always a tough place to play.

But the bye is just freaking magical, you get two weeks off then play a home game that if you win you go to the AFC championship game. It’s just a crazy advantage. I just wish there were still two of them.

Straightforward for the division. Pats win Bills lose on Sunday and it's a hat and t-shirt day. The Pats play at 1 and I think the Bills are at 4.

For a 2 seed clinch it's the same scenario as for the division plus the Jags have to lose. They play the Colts at 1.

For the 1 seed obviously we need to dodge the Pats lose Broncos win scenario. Broncos play the Chiefs on Christmas day TNF.
