Great points Steve.. as always bringing the truth here..

They absolutely are a tough team and they do fight.. when Henderson scored that 65 yard TD I thought that would seal the game..

I'm the biggest critic on the D because they are supposed to be the tone setters for the team and get the ball back to Drake as much as possible.

Love for them to at least get a playoff win this season..
The D is a little disappointing from time to time, I agree. I thought they'd be better. They are top half of the NFL, but they aren't elite. With that said, if Williams and Spillane had been healthy, perhaps there are new hats and t-shirts for sale at the pro shop today.

You summarize it the most correct way... good but not elite and they been winning with solid fundamentals play for the most part.. I still am in awe that 2 excellent CBs in gonzo and Davis have 0 combined INTS.. they play zone too where you have those opportunities to read the QB and take chances.. Vrabel needs this upcoming draft and FA to really get this pass rush where it should be..

There's still a lot of holes on the team, pass rush among them. I'd like to see them have more take aways. They clearly need depth everywhere.

First world problems. Good to be back.

Look at the bright side we can get K Chaisson for decent money now. Have him be a rotational player: we need to get rid of Landry he's not very good.

Oh definitely I think regardless we should resign KC he's a good player.. he would be heavily involved in the rotation.. Landry is hurt/ washed..

Yes! And I agree... not having take aways by your two best CBs is concerning... Marcus seems to be the playmaker in the secondary.. and Vrabel definitely knows his depth is this.. the defensive line is the deepest part of the team.

i wish the ravens gsme wasnt a night game. i hate pats at baltimore in prime time. And after blowing the lead this week , the pressure will be intense.
I think this Patriots team needs to face the highest pressure, it's the only way to prepare for what they'll get if they reach Santa Clara.

I dont know if it was too early to trade dugger and white. They couldve helped with what we have here.

Whites attitude held him back from reaching potential... Dugger did he play last night against Miami?

It's all about Buffalo, don't worry about the future.
A rubber match is a distinct possibility now, likely in Foxborough.

The Bills have as much recent, top pressure experience in games against the highest competition in the playoffs with everything on the line as any team in the league for several years now. The Patriots acquitted themselves well on Sunday, and some of their weaknesses were usefully exposed, for them to hopefully correct and learn from.

I think the pats lose on common opponents
  1. The following is tie break for non division. Broncos currently have a better conference record but if we beat Balt and they lose to Jax we are tied in conference.

  1. Head-to-head, if applicable.
  2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
  3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four.
  4. Strength of victory in all games.
  5. Strength of schedule in all games.
  6. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed in all games.
  7. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed in all games.
  8. Best net points in conference games.
  9. Best net points in all games.
  10. Best net touchdowns in all games.
  11. Coin toss.

The loss to the Raiders is the killer

FWIW, it is unlikely that a round 3 would feature the lineup they had on Sunday.

That scenario could make Vrabel's stint here in NE very short.
No it wouldn't. 11-6 and a playoff appearance is better than anything we've gotten the last 4 years. A good draft, good FA signings. Vrabel's not going anywhere unless they fall off a cliff in Maye's option year.

He's here next year. Whether he turns into a rotational player or not, they're not eating that cap hit. He's a replacement-level pass rusher, probably will end up with 10 sacks, played through injury all year so we wouldn't have to suffer Anfrenee Jennings' stand-up-and-stand-still pass rush technique.

People thought Tully Banta-Cain was an elite pass rusher when he had 10 sacks. Josh Uche had 11.5 one year, and people thought he was irreplaceable.

Yeah, they need to draft a guy, probably bring in a big time FA.

Don't know who'll he available in FA pass rushers wise. But I think our First Two Draft picks will be DE's.
