Don't be surprised if you see Cole Strange working at LT when he starts practicing. Strange is built like a zone Blocking LT like those Tackles on those old SB winning Denver Teams with Elway.
Strange is coming back from a career threatening injury... they can't rely on him until they can.

Sow is a more likely candidate to kick outside to tackle.

Absolutely screwed up the tackle position. I would say the problem is they didn't prioritize it. They spent little money and draft capital on it.

Compare that to QB or WR where they tried to spend big money or used high draft capital. That shows what they prioritized way more than the order in which things were signed.

Either way they screwed up tackle and we have to live with it.
My only issue with this ^ is there were better, similarly priced free agents they could have signed but didn't.

Wolf can't evaluate the offensive line, that's a problem.

He needs to make it a priority

I tend to agree with this let Strange focus on LG while he works back to health. His flexibility has been discussed before though.

This is the first I'm hearing anyone suggest Sow at tackle? What makes you suggest this?

Sow played some LT in college and dabbled at LT in training camp his rookie year.

Ok then let's give it a try can't be worse lol. I suppose we need Strange back first.

Wolf should have been a little more skeptical of what happened in Pittsburgh, perhaps, but, signing him was worth a try.
Signing a malcontent RT and trying to convert him to LT was worth a try? Please. We have been commenting on Wolf's absurd Okorafor signing since it happened.
What were the veteran alternatives? Did anyone want to bring Trent Brown back?
Not many if any
Pay 34 year old, chronically injured Tyron Smith more than the $6.5 million he got from the Jets?
Yes. Is your question, "Why would we want to sign a LT with a good attitude to play LT?" $6.5M for Smith is very reasonable.

Do you think the Jets want right now to trade Smith's contract for Okorafor's contract? Not a chance in hell. But the Pats saved $2M on their 2025 cap!! Again absurd. You think Okorafor's contract was worth a try? Ridiculous.
Or sign Jonah Williams for $16 million guaranteed just to already have him already be on IR?
No

If Sow weren’t injured, maybe. Lowe is doing ok, he wasn’t the problem last week.

I didn't expect Okra to just bounce. Players are so short sighted these days.
It's fine that Jordan can take the spot, but we need Tackle depth (or legit starter).

He played there early in his college career and was running with the 1’s at the end of preseason last year at RT, the Pats outright said they drafted him in the hopes he would play tackle.

He ended up at guard out of necessity, but he is a great athlete. If anyone can shift outside to tackle it’s him or Onwenu and Mike can only play the right side. I’m not saying Sow can play left tackle, but it’s worth a look.

Mayo is going to be a good one: maybe among the greats someday. This move of identifying that garbage is something. Him moving on quickly from players ie... Wide-Left and Okorafor who's a detriment to his Team speaks volumes. Mayo wants to win and we are going to win some games we probably shouldn't.
Agreed starting with last week. This is why I never play to the "tough" schedule. I been hearing this since we were winning. Look at the landscape of the league now. CMC on IR, Rodgers still doesn't look right IMO, Mayo has his team believing.

This was definitely a questionable signing, but there weren't a lot of better options out there. I would still like to check in on D.J. Humphries if he gets healthy enough to play. Otherwise, I think it is what it is until next off season.

There weren't a lot of better options out there… if we keep repeating this maybe it will be true.

If Lowe can be decent wich is a tough ask... than Sow can remain at LG... I always seen stranger more at G than a T.

Chuks tried to tellin’ himself that playing LT is not as hard, hard, hard as it seems.

Now he’s made up his mind to make a new start. Going to hit some strip clubs with an aching....in his heart.

They used to retire on Bill during TC. With Mayo it's after week 1 I guess.

I don’t think it will happen now. But it should have in his rookie season.

Players like him are considered quitters, I can totally understand if it's for health or mental health reasons. But this guy.... so many Players that are in HS now or college that would relish an opportunity to have a starting Job in the league and this guy just doesn't give 2 ****s.
I 100% see this as a mental health issue. It’s not his body that is quitting…it’s his mentality. And how do you turn down millions and a potential big payday down the road if you don’t have mental health issues?
