And the 2 Places Johnson would be dangerous are Broncos and Patriots...
Let him go to jets, and Patriots place 5-6 man in the box - Not only do you prevent Johnson from everything, you also remove 50%? of Vick/Smiths value.
ALL those teams WHO have a scrambling / mobil QB limits the effect of a RB, and RBs limites mobil QBs in doing seriously damage.
Johnson will more than likely sign some form of incentive laden contract proving that his injury concerns are behind him.
That means more opportunities to carry the ball and not RB by committee like in NE.
Johnson will play more with the Jets and make more money with the Jets. McDaniels would abandon the run game and sit him regardless of how well he was playing anyway.
Now fans can now bash him because he's damaged goods. Where there's a will there's a way.
I don't particularly like Chris Johnson's running style. Whenever I see a RB (or a WR for that matter) start going backwards to attempt a bigger gain, I leap from my seat screaming.

I think this is gonna get done. It just makes sense for the Jets and Johnson. I've been seeing a lot of negative comments as if CJ is a shot player, which isn't true. They said the same things about Ladainian and it wasn't true. CJ is 28 and still can produce if he's on a good team.
I wouldn't think there would be any reason to try and trade Ridley, it's not like we'd get anything that significant for him.
On top of that, he comes cheaply on a rookie deal, and we have a hole at the position of RB that needs to be filled.
I doubt we'd sign Johnson anyway. From all reports he's the exact opposite of what the Patriots and Belichick look for in a player, even if he does have some talent.
That said, if Belichick feels that it'd be worth it to throw out a reasonable deal, I wouldn't be complaining. I just don't think it's remotely likely. Guys with poor work ethics, "me first" attitudes and poor locker room presence aren't usually brought in to this setting.
