What I took away from that link was how horrible the video was.

I blamed that on it being NFL.com

Was somewhat surprised NFL.com was hosting anything positive about the Patriots. Guess they value our clicks even if they hate our team.

I posted this for the article, not the video as you can tell.

What is NFLN's infatuation with Ike Taylor? He's just not that good of an analyst yet they give him constant air time any chance they get. He's worse at it then he was at playing corner at the end of his career.

Get me more Mike Mayock analysis. Mike might be my favorite NFL analyst on television. Dude knows his ****.

You are on point. A lot of pats fans find themselves in this bubble where the only football they watch closely is the pats and for all the other teams they usually just look at stats and watch highlights. There's nothing wrong with that of course who has time to watch every nfl game either the keen eye of watching for your own team. My point is definicies for pats players are magnified greatly where we typically only see positive stats for a large amount of other well known players in the league. This creates the "why can't we get guys like that" complex which just infuriates me more than anything. Perpetuated by shows like felger and mazz by the way they discuss the pats and their selection of callers. Sorry for the rant it's just one of the most annoying things to deal with as a New England sports fan.

This is completely correct. Look at all of the guys we release and they play for years for other teams. How did players we release become good players when they go to the Colts or the Chargers? They never were as bad as a myopic view thinks. Also a lot of people look for a few "big names" as opposed to a lot of above average players. I am not saying Logan Ryan is better than Revis, but that is the wrong question. Look at Cam Chancellor for example. The guy went in the 5th round because he is slow but he gets a lot of hype. Chung was chosen in the 2nd round, covered T Y Hilton last week (something Chancellor could never do) and everyone dumps on him. Over the last three games Chung has been better than Chancellor, but it feels like everyone "wants guys like" Chancellor - REALLY?

Logan Ryan covers Aaron Dobson.

Does this result in no catches? Infinite catches? Or a tear in space time as the paradox of either a pass defensed by Ryan, or catch by Dobson is impossible.

Discuss....

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Patriots D has the building blocks in place to become one of the most versatile units ever put out on the field. They're young, talented and buying in. The DL excites me, the Linebackers excite me and the Secondary is coming together in a reasonable fashion. If only Roberts and Brown weren't on IR, then this could be one helluva D.

And except for Brown, they're basically all signed for next year.

Is this a Logan Ryan thread now?

I'm fully expecting Ryan to get exposed Sunday morning.

Remember the days when Tully Banta-Cain was our premier edge rusher.

Yup. 2009.

But how about in 2010 when we literally had no edge rusher and our best pass rusher was Mike Wright?

This is his 3rd season in the league. We pretty much know what he doesn't excel at and that is man to man coverage.

How quickly people here forget Ryan and Dennard getting undressed by Decker/Thomas in the AFCCG.

Absolutely. I would like one more JAG cornerback for depth. Fletcher was less than a JAG.

Was Ryan benched in the Super Bowl, or was he thinking of Arrington? With Revis, Browner and Arrington, then Butler, I don't think ryan had enough of a role to be considered "benched"

How about "passed over"? Butler got snaps Ryan would have seemed more likely to take.

That said, if Ryan can play just a little worse than Butler, few of us will complain.

You do realize people are capable of improving over the course of their careers right?
Nonsense. That's why Nink washed out. He was a JAG when he got here, never could become anything more. It was inevitable. Once a JAG always a JAG.
