challenger to Ross Ventrone?

isn't Ross a coach now?

4 times? In a week, maybe. Seemed like at least a dozen to me.
From Wikipedia: "Ventrone was signed, promoted, or released 21 times by the Patriots during the season, including eight transactions in November 2011."

So four times in a week is not too far off base.

My binkies! I loved the Ventrones! Belichick loved the Ventrones. Whenever some assistant coach like Scarnecchia or Charlie Weis would come in an complain to Belichick, he'd say, "OK, let's shake things up around here. Get me Ventrone!"

I was scared for a moment there. I was going to say "Glad he's still with us", but couldn't remember how true that'd be.......

Ross, forever rated # 53.5 on the Pats roster.....I guess it could be worse, #53.5 on any other team not the Pats

After awhile, they probably just left a note for Ventrone on his locker:

"Weight room today" meant that he'd been waived.
"Practice today" meant that he was being re-signed.

I assumed this thread was going to be about Geneo Grissom.

Tiquan Underwood should be part of this conversation, remember when he was "heartlessly" cut by the Patriots on the eve of Superbowl XLVI...

Believe that Tiquan had about 5 "sign and release" moments, during his Patriots "career"..

One little difference.

CJ Spiller 9th pick in the draft.
Ross Ventrone undrafted.

I think it probably stings a wee bit more for little CJ.
