Mazzoula is an *******, maybe the worst I remember in sports.

That's as may be, but the league confirmed he was right.
I wouldn't know, or care. I haven't paid the least attention to the NBA in over twenty years: lousy basketball played by malignant narcissists impossible to root for. In following the Pats you just accidentally run into Mazzoula's childish ******** from time to time. Every so often I go to a local high school game. The skills aren't as good, of course, but the games are legit, and the players don't have their heads up their asses.

You haven't paid attention to the NBA in over 20 years but you pay enough attention to post about a successful young coach who you've deemed 'maybe the worst *******' in sports. Get a freaking grip.

Simons does it again. 39 points off the bench, helping to bring the Celtics back from a 15 deficit with 1:48 left in the 3rd and scoring 18 points in the 4th quarter alone. That was quite the game for him. I hope he sticks around.

Whaaaaaat!!!!

I tied a plastic bag over my head but then saw this is a joke. The bag was clear, fortunately.
Probably click bait of outrageous trades that are always floated out there

White might be going through a little slump again but unless there's some three way trade for one of the top Cs out there, it ain't happening.

In that category I've seen similar theories of the Celts getting Horford back now that the Warriors are without Jimmy Butler - at $11 mil for the next 2 seasons that's not outrageous, but I'd still prefer to see them go all in with a C of the future like Zubac. At this point I don't think Horford's stats are any better than Queta - I'd still take him for the bench, swapped out for some of the DNPs, but I question what he's got left in the tank.

Okongwu would be my 1st choice. He's come into his own this year. I don't see why Atlanta would trade him.
Zubac and Claxton are next.
Gafford is the easiest to trade for. C's wouldn't have to trade much for him but with AD and Lively out for the season, do they want to go real small for the rest of the season?

Yea they need to make a move. It's clear they are a cut below the top teams right now. Land Okongwu or Zubac maybe get JT back in March/April and see where it goes.

Pretty impressive move by Stevens

Basically he swapped out Simons for Nikola Vucevic and they swapped 2nd round picks too

Both are on expiring contracts but Stevens added 17 points and 9 rebounds a game, knowing that Tatum is hopefully poised to come in and take Simons minutes.

He's not the tallest C but he sure seems to play big grabbing those rebounds and points in the paint - though he's not a bad 3pt shooter either.

While I think the owners are zen with paying luxury tax, they might not yet be done though I'd just see more moves as cutting some salary if they can (Boucher or Tillman don't do anything for us so who knows, maybe Stevens will package them up and get out of the "repeater" category on the luxury tax

I love this move.

It is only Tuesday and the deadline is Thursday, so they must have liked the trade to complete a few days early.

Which is why I think there could be another move - I'm not sure how the Porzingis trade exception impacts their luxury tax as they may have shed a few more million

Normally I wouldn't care but I think staying under at least one year resets the clock and that might help them add even more ammunition next season - not that they don't have what it takes to win now.

I'm glad we have Queta but that's a lot to put on his shoulders going into the playoffs. Let's just hope Tatum can step into Simons 6th man role as he gets up to speed, but Stevens really deserves some appreciation for giving us the C we need without giving up any draft picks as would have been the case with Zubac - and Vucevic's numbers are nearly as good!
