They were down two starters and lost to a 48-10 team, splitting the season series (missing starters in both losses.)
Let’s calm down here. They lost because it was a pretty even game, which results in a loss about as many times as win. Two evenly matched teams, close point spread. If they’d squeaked it out, would you be panicking right now? Because the game was very close, as expected.
The only concerns the Celtics should have right now:
-Porzingis’s availability
-Holiday’s fall off in play
-Cleveland and OKC are having historically great seasons. Both are as good, or maybe even a little better, than last year’s Celtics. This wasn’t expected, but it’s out of their control.
I’d still take Cs against Cleveland in the playoffs, but it would be crazy to think they’ll just walk in and outclass a team likely to win like 67 games.
Vegas still favors Cs over Cavs to win east.
