Celtics 2024-2025 Discussion

I think score was tied in the 3rd quarter when I dozed off...When I woke up C's were up 30 in the 4th. I was like "wtf?!!" but obviously in a good way.
I know right! Same here. I dozed off around start of the 3rd and by the end of the 3rd game was in the bag.. proud of the C's true champions. Boy do I miss Jrue though.. the ball moves so much more smoothly when he plays..

Agreed. Guys need to rest and rehab up.. I'm rooting for the pistons.. I want to see them next series..
No not the pistons. They are the Magic .2. Really physical. They would be a team the C's would beat in 5, they would also beat the crap out of us.

The Knicks are a better team, but not nearly as physical. They are better, but never going to beat us in a 7 game series . So MY best scenario is that the series go 7 games and the Knicks win.

That being said, I really did enjoy watching them fall last night

I want this.. the Cs road was too easy last season.. I want a tough physical series.. almost like 90s and early 2000s NBA.. it will have them far better prepared for the physicality that the OKC thunder play with.. yes I'm with u on the Knicks series Going 7 games.

We are tough enough and tougher than any team in the playoffs.

Who cares if the road was "easy". They lost KP for 3 series. You take what you can get. It was not "easy". It's not like they played teams who had the same passion as a February road game in New Orleans.

We don't want this team more beat up than they already are. Hoping for a tough, physical series is crazy.

We want to be as healthy as possible when we face CLE and hopefully OKC.

80s Celtics would have won 2 more titles if Philly, Milwaukee, and Detroit didn't pound on them in the eastern conference playoffs.

Don't Matter. Have you seen how the OKC play. Like I said this will have them better prepared should they get back to the finals. Why wouldn't you want a tough physical series? This is a physical game. I get what yout saying on health. However you can still be physical and maintain your health. Players today have much more availability for thier bodies then years ago. Man up and ball.

It does matter. We don't need another Orlando series when they refs let Tatum and Brown get tossed to the floor, Al cross checked, and KP elbowed in the head.

Yes. I have. We are tougher and have been through the gauntlet. They have not.

For the reasons I said. A healthy Boston Celtics team playing their game beats all comers.

Health is the most important thing. Period.

Thats because he was coddled by the NBA because he is a foreign born player. They almost never unless they have to, prop up an American born player. The Greek Dud, Ben "Can't Shoot" Simmons, SGA, Jokic (and to me he isn't even all that, I'll take Tatum) etc etc. It's a concentrated media blitz to keep other countries interested.
I agree with everything  except your take on Jokic. Dude, my man, Jokic is the best player in the world. Period. And it's not close.I don't know one knowledgeable player, coach writer or even fan who thinks otherwise.
But Tatum is the 2nd best player on the planet. To me thats indisputable .
SGA is great he's #3. But Tatum is clearly better. And in hoops, if two guys, are close, you always go with the bigger man cuz they can do more.

Took care of business against a feisty Magic team. Banchero is good but Wagner stole the show for them. A couple of pieces and they could be real title contenders.

The Celtics biggest enemies are health/injuries and themselves. CLE would be tough in the ECF and OKC/DEN would be tough in the finals but I believe the Celtics are the best team and can take it all the way, even with a couple of setbacks (like Holiday/Brown) but they need to stay healthy moving forward.

You can say the same thing about any of the other starters. And PP,Big Al and Kornet all have their own value.

What used to be the biggest worry we all had about PP playing expanded minutes?
Defense. NOT ANYMORE!
I seriously believe Pritchard's D has equaled his O.
He is a very good defender and he is absolutely starter quality. Further, he is a better player than half the starting point guards in the nba. Chew on that.
At 6'1" this is not supposed to happen in today's nba. Kid is incredible
And he's a downright steal at his salary.

Dremond Green is a sick bastard and I don't want GS if the C's make it to the finals. Let the west deal with him.

Steph Curry is one of a few players that I'd want over LeBron. His zone is the twilight zone.

When and how will Dallas get their payback for gifting Doncic to LA?

Al Horford is seriously underrated.

I heard mediots this morning talking about Tatum being too soft. It reminded me of the nonsense we heard about Fred Lynn.

The Celtics caught a break with the seeding. I'd much rather play NYK/DET than IND. The CLE/IND series is going to be a war and hopefully they beat each other up. The Pacers were 3-1 in the regular season vs the Cavs and I know the postseason is a different animal but don't count them out. This is going 7 games. Hopefully the C's coast in 4-5 over NY/DET

I agree with you, but this will become the sports media's talking point that the Celtics have an easy path to the NBA championship game. Can you imagine if the Pacers beat the Cavaliers? The sports press would go NUTS telling us how the Celtics are the luckiest franchiese in the history of the NBA with the easiest post-season matchups.

I hope the Pacers beat the Cavaliers and the press says how easy the Celtics path is through the Pacers. The Celtics will be insulted. That way we might 3peat.

How can anyone who has watched hoops the past two years say JT is soft?

Whomever said it has zero credibility.

Thing is if the Pacers advance that'll be their 2nd straight ECF appearance.

That is not an accident. They are a quality team.

It also means CLE isn't ready.

Lakers out! LeBron is the biggest fraud on the planet. No star player or role player has ever meshed with him, but it’s never his fault. The excuses and blame already beginning…looks like this ******* already had this article pre-written.
