Celtics 2023 - 2024 Discussion

I am sure you could say the same of Mazzula. Very little experience when he was promoted in 2023. These knids of comparisons do not make Sam a head coach. Do you want Mazzula to be the assistant to Sam next year?

JJ Reddick is the best live tv analyst in the business. He's a true student of the game. From an x's and o's standpoint, he'll be great.
But coaching is also about relationships, managing a lot of different personalities and knowing how to motivate everyone.
He seems to have a good personality but I don't know enough about him to have an opinion on how he'll handle that part.
He's also the guy LeBron wanted so.....

JJ sounds knowledgeable next to Doris Burke.

Absolutely hilarious post. One of the best.

Even my GF came to understand Doris' exaggerations, like "one of the best in the history of the game", or "one of the best to ever do it". But that exaggeration is common across ESPN and not unique to Doris.

It's all pretty clear to me. Riddick is LeBron's choice. It's also why Hurley passed on the job.
I'm glad as my soon-to-be HS senior has UConn in her top 3 schools!

I'm a Huskies fan. So glad he's coming back. They'll be in the mix but a 3peat is pretty tough today. Was easier back in Wooden's day when all players stayed 4 years.

Losing Newton and Spencer is a blow but they so loaded stil.

Only team to sniff a three-peat are the Laettner/Hurley Duke teams.

I really enjoyed going through the process when my kids were looking at colleges. Good luck.

This is #3 of 3. We can do it with our eyes closed now

Yes- Each one is a different experience.

My boy and girl twins just finished their freshman year. Now he's in Germany for a a month-1st time away from home while his sister is back home working and partying and a little bit jealous.
She was too busy partying earlier this spring to get organized for the trip lol.
Lesson learned. They're both A students,
always have been, but she partied a bit this year.
Can't really blame her- they were the kids who got screwed the worst during covid-
spent 2/12 if their last 3 years in HS remote learning from home.
Their Mom is a cancer survivor so they couldn't take chances and didn't see any friends for 2 freakin' years! Just zoom.
So she's cutting loose now.

Just saw McAfee's podcast with Brad Stevens.
He was talking about how thankful he is to have them as C's. Yes we are.
Both have great work ethic, are unselfish, great teammates, great competitors and really good people off the court. Great families.
I was really amazed at how great both of them became over the course of this year.
I'm also grateful to Danny Ainge for bringing Stevens here. He was a damn good coach but he's an absolutely awesome Head of Basketball Operations.
Best organization in all of pro sports?
You could easily make that case.
Great owner? check
Great executive running the show?
Check
Great head coach? Check
Great players? Check
Great outlook moving forward? Hell yes!

Funny to see Jaylen Brown is as slow throwing to the plate as he is taking free throws.
Hey, you’ve got to be careful with those ceremonial first pitches, you throw a ****ty one you never live it down
