They've been pretty good at hammering home the final nail this entire postseason. I'm sure that 4th quarter from G3 is on their minds. It would be very uncharacteristic for them to come out anything less than laser focused. It's with trepidation that I'm listening all the talk coronating the Celtics. But they're still one game away and there's always a first time that a team will come back from a 0-3 deficit. I'm hoping the Celtics themselves don't buy in that it's a given they'll win. They need to sharpen the dagger.
Tatum sums it up with the perfect walk off comment
The trouble for them is that the two guys who have to play 40+ minutes can't play ANY defense. It isn't a matter of effort, they can't do it.Game 4 will be tough for the Celtics. Dallas has to figure out that it will take 3 of their guys to score not one or two. They must play better defense. They are a good team they should win one and it should be at home. I expected a great game, Dallas will win but only the numbers say that they Celtics lost. Both teams winners in game 4. Series over in Boston, Game 5.
Thank you Joe Mazzulla and the Boston Celtics.

Someday a team will come back from 0-3, but I don't see it being this Dallas team against this Boston team.
Damn. Good for him.
That narrative drives me crazy....didn't play anyone....players were hurt. bla.bla. So KP being out for all but 3 1/4 games did't count?
Interesting note comparing these guys to the '86 team....So hard to compare. Different eras. Different players....
'24 would have a hard time dealing with '86 frontcourt size, skill and overall physical play.
'86 would have a hard time dealing with '24 3-ball , quickness, man/switch defense and spread penetration game.
Prime Larry Legend vs JT.
The thing people forget about McHale is later in his career he developed a little bit of a 3pt shot.I would love to see what the current league would do to try and contend with McHale.
He had -sublime- footwork. The thing people forget about McHale is later in his career he developed a little bit of a 3pt shot.
He would need to put on some muscle. 210 lbs would be too light if he wanted to play down low.
In his prime he had a soft touch, good footwork and was a versatile defender with that 8ft wingspan.
My belief is if you give greatness time to adjust to the times, they'll still be great.
I think McHale would still be a 20/10 2 blocks a game player. Maybe fewer rebounds as there are more deep rebounds b/c of the # of 3 pointers taken
Mavs are still -1 tonight. No reason to panic. Could be a game where the Celtics struggle out of the gate and shut it down. Celtics are winning in 5 games max. It's with trepidation that I'm listening all the talk coronating the Celtics. Honestly I’ll be a little disappointed if they don’t stick the nail in the coffin tonight. Last years Celtics I could see them dropping two games here. This version should slam the door shut tonight.Mavs are still -1 tonight. No reason to panic. Could be a game where the Celtics struggle out of the gate and shut it down. Ill be a little disappointed but I wouldn't mind closing it out in Boston either. Them dropping this one would be forgivable. Depending on how it happens of course.Honestly I’ll be a little disappointed if they don’t stick the nail in the coffin tonight. Last years Celtics I could see them dropping two games here. It would be forgivable, absolutely, but I just don’t like giving any team life or the thought that they could feasibly make a series out of it.Ill be a little disappointed but I wouldn't mind closing it out in Boston either. I know. Some day a team will pull it off. But it won't be this year. The record so far is 156-0.
That 86 team will always be the best that ever was in my eyes. But like you said, you can't compare eras.Damn. Good for him.

It’s Boston -1.5 now. You’d think it may mean KP is playing but in warmups he looked very tentative.Mavs are still -1 tonight. No reason to panic. Could be a game where the Celtics struggle out of the gate and shut it down. Celtics are winning in 5 games max.
Guy on ESPN was saying he saw porzingis being brought in in a golf cart, so that doesn’t sound too encouraging. I’m guessing it’s just that the public thinks the Celtics are going to close it out. Hope they’re rightIt’s Boston -1.5 now. You’d think it may mean KP is playing but in warmups he looked very tentative.
Yea the 86 team is right there with the 04 Sox, 84 Celtics, 11 B's and 01 Patriots as my favs. That 86 team will always be the best that ever was in my eyes. But like you said, you can't compare eras.
This team would destroy the 86 team just on sheer athleticism alone. There's no one on that team who could guard these guys.
It honestly feels like a wild stat to me. You’d think someone would’ve pulled it off.I know. Some day a team will pull it off. But it won't be this year.
Interesting…I actually just saw that spread and was coming here to post. It’s Boston -1.5 now. You’d think it may mean KP is playing but in warmups he looked very tentative.
