Meh. He can score 40 and the Knicks win or lose. The C's have enough players to rotate on him. You play good 3 pt line defense and attack Brunson on the other end. If the League wants the Knicks in the Finals it won't matter anyway. But that's the next round.
Philly has some good 1 on 1 defenders and they still couldn't slow him.. he's crafty, knows how's to set up defenders, used his body and knows when to attack the rim.. he's playing on another level this play offs.. I don't want 33 year old holiday on him for a full game, Pritchard would be the best guy to stay with Brunson. But yout right it's whatever the league wants.. NY is where the league office is after all. The Pacers are the type of team that can give NY problems they are youn guns who move the ball and are deep.
You take care of the rest of the team on D and go at him.

OK. But for now, between Holiday, White and Brown and Pritchard, there's enough defensive prowess to play with anyone if they want to. It's rare to shutdown someone 1 v 1 in a series, it takes commitment from the team.
Oh absolutely I agree with you 100%.. I'm in no way saying we can't.. just me watching our team I'm noticing what they need.. as we know the play offs are a totally different animal. Think of this the Js haven't missed the playoffs since they came into the league that is simply remarkable.

That's great! What's the eye test tell you on why minny is up and have been the best team in the play offs..Sometimes it's ok to give other teams credit.

Saying Tony Allen was the reason they won in 08 is ridiculous- especially since he played a total of 65 minutes which was the lowest on the team.

You absolutely discounting the presence of a lock down defender.. we won 64 games, and we won primarily by blowing teams out hacking up 3s.. we had no answer for Brunson whenever we play him,.. Murray carved us up, the cavs guards carved us up.. I'm in not way saying you're wrong.. but it's unfair to try to say I'm not making send because you disagree. I'm simply saying a lockdown defender is the equivalent of a lock down CB.. you make it tough on the teams best players thus disrupting the teams offense. Paul pierce said to skip Bayless on undisputed they would not have won without posey and Allen's defense in 08..
If you WATCHED the game last night against Denver you would learn. What I have.. Minny is the best defense in the league they totally disrupted what Denver wants to do.. McDaniels has clamped up Murray. I'm just speaking what I see in the playoffs.. isn't that what matters?

Allen, Smart,Havilcek, Jojo white, Chaney, Dennis Johnson, all great celtics on ball defenders who took guys out the game.. all I'm simply saying is having a singular guy to take out the teams best score is a wonderful thing to have not saying it's the only way to win.
Yep. The two biggest questions with the Celtics have been will they be able to win if the threes aren't dropping, and also can they fight their tendency, which has been going on for years, of taking games and opponents and situations slightly. Tonight will be a good test of that, no excuse not to take care of business. We'll see
Spot on! As you have seen my post and various conversations.. I've mentioned the jacking up 3s.. Muzzulla tends to use the 3 points shots metrics.. when they are on great, when they aren't it's ugly. I personally feel they are going to need to use defense to create offense. Cleveland is a big team in the paint and lanes won't be there for the Js.. the have had a week off.. the lt are restes and hopefully will be in rhythm..
