Celtics 2023 - 2024 Discussion

They’re getting the #1 seed and it’s time to bubble wrap Porzingis, Holiday and Horford for the playoffs. Might as well start limiting minutes for all starters.
Gotta play everyone until the end of the season while taking advantage of blow outs to get additional rest and having Horford or KP take occasional games off, which they’ve already been doing specially KP.

I’d rather have the team firing on all cylinders going into the playoffs than worry about them entering the first round trying to knock off rust especially against a team like Miami or someone like that.

Jalen Brunson is a flopping little *****. Why even implement anti-flopping rules if you’re going to allow him to do this over and over?

They just called another absolute bs charge on a flop. What a joke.

Damn missed the game last night. Didn't know they were playing.
While a Championship is the goal, let's enjoy this team's regular season.
C's are on pace to win 65 games!!
That would make them one of the best regular season teams of all time.
One thing that stands out to me about this year is they are constantly improving, both individually and collectively.
It means they're all focused.
And I don't think they've played their best basketball yet.
The playoffs will be tough.
Doc has Bucks playing defense now and with Embiid gone Milwaukee is our biggest threat in the East.
There's several very tough teams out West. Looking forward to playing at Denver.

Next week looks to their toughest one so far this year with the Warriors on Sunday, Cavaliers on Tuesday, Nuggets on Thursday & Suns on Saturday. Their combined record is 141-89, with the Warriors, a team they always seem to have trouble with, being the worst of the bunch. If they can make it through this week in good shape, it will be impressive.

Such a weird take

"The national TV game against Boston on March 20 is the big one. If the Bucks are still rolling then, the national discourse will undoubtedly be about who the true favorite is in the East. Truth is, it might already be the Bucks. If their newfound success on defense sustains, they are a well-rounded juggernaut, plus they have the best player in any East series in Giannis. And Lillard, despite his ups and downs this season, is still the best, most efficient, and clutch perimeter shot creator in the conference."

The Bucks played the Hornets 3 times in their last 9 games. Ignoring those games, the Bucks lost to and beat the Timberwolves, beat Denver, beat the 76ers, and lost to the Grizzlies and Heat. Not really a juggernaut, but the article probably got a lot of clicks??

Celtics shoot over 50% in the 1st half as they look good leading 66-59.

Horford with the dagger 3. Game ovah.
This team is good

82-38 at halftime.
I've watched a ton of basketball in my life. Don't think I've ever seen a 1st half like this.
And w/o KP.
Just incredible.
All the #'s are ridiculous.
20 assists 1 turnover?

Can't wait to watch this game. Thankfully, they've had the experience of blowing out the Pacers by 50 but then losing the next game against them by 10, so hopefully they won't get too overconfident.

Happy 26th Bday to Tatum. He's been playing with for so long, it's easy to forget he's still so young. MJ didn't win his 1st until he was 28.

That was one heck of a beat down, it was over quickly.

A couple of high school games, perhaps.
Just wow.

That was something else. I'd give credit to the Celtics but the Warriors really sucked, although a lot of that was due to the defense. As much as I'd like to read something into this win, I remember the last time they held Curry to 4 points. Next up is the Cavs in Cleveland. I'm curious to see how this game affects that one.

Cleveland is tough. Mitchell is maybe the most underrated superstar in the nba. Great player.
There's often not much carryover from a blowout win but what really makes us all feel good about a title is how the C's have been playing for several months now.
Very consistently top offense and top defense.
The starters know each others games now and there running like a well-oiled machine.
Biggest difference from now and earlier in the season is how both JT and JB have adapted and expanded their games.
JB was terrible early in the season and I posted way back then that he needed to take a hard look in the mirror and do some honest self-evaluation.
So you can all thank me for his turnaround. It's really the only reason.

I am eternally grateful. Has Brown reached out yet to thank you? The Celtics brass?

Not yet. But I'm content to just dwell in the shadows
The team's success is reward enough for me
