Did kiwanuka really have a bad combine or something? Weren't we saying before that he was a top 10 pick?

Terrible Senior Bowl week. He was humbled by D Furguson, then got hurt (shoulder) as well.

[1] Richard Marshall, CB, Fresno State

OK. I can see this one. I think an LB would be better, but this ain't bad.

[2] Demetrius Williams, WR, Oregon
[3a] Greg Jennings, WR, Western Michigan
[3b] Brian Calhoun, HB, Wisconsin

Jennings is probably OK, but this still strikes me overall as meh.

No kidding - not a single LB on day 1? I'd be extremely disappointed (and shocked) if that happens.

With the way the other picks fell in that draft, I'd instead take Wimbley, Greenway, or Carpenter in round 1.

I'd rather go:

Bobby Carpenter/Manny Lawson

Richard Marshall (trade up w/ later 3rd?)

Jennings/Avant/Stovall

Couple of things hurt Kiwi this year. First, he was asked to drop into coverage at lot at BC and not rush the passer, which affected his sack numbers. Second, he got hurt vs. UVA and played a couple of games with a leg injury that affected his speed. The only game he was at full speed and rushed the passer full time was vs. NC State and he dominated.

He had a tough combine and got hurt, too. My guess is Kiwi blossoms into a big time NFL prospect in the McGinest mold since his overall talents weren't really showed this year at BC.

If bb picked this players, I'd be fine with the group. It would mean that bb had decided that the 2nd day players would be there to solve the LB issues. Many here have suggested that strategy. At this point I would be expecting three front seven players in the next three picks. I would also presume that bb has a TE ready to sign.

SUXX. Written by a guy who has no conception of value and does not know the Patriots except on the most superficial basis.

I wonder why BC would have Kiwi drop into coverage, unless they hoped to increase his 3-4 market exposure....
