I would have preferred it worked out for the Patriots, but we are obviously on different sides there.I think Moss was in an absolute terrible situation here in 2010 for himself and it must have been hard. But if this is true, that's just strange. I don't understand why he would brush off something like that. If he did indeed decline talks of an extension that he wanted, then he had a lot to do with his bad situation in 2010.
I'm glad it worked out for him in the end, but if this is true it was definitely a big mistake on his part. Big mistake.
Granted, they were never airtight in the first place. Just saying that, compared to 2001-2004, it seems like we hear a lot more about what's going on in the locker room now. I don't like it, I'm kind of on board with Wilfork's comments re: that. Keep the media out of the locker room, they'll only stir up trouble.
+1. No matter the subject is, we hear so much more about it these days than ever. I remember when I was a kid, the entire sum total of NFL pregame and postgame coverage consisted of 30 minutes where I would watch The NFL Today with Brent Musberger, Irv Cross and Jimmy the Greek. Maybe you would get 2 minutes of highlights on the evening news but beyond that, anything else would have to be read about in the next day's paper.I remember there were plenty of stories coming out of the locker room during the Brady/Bledsoe "debate" in 2001.
But you're right -- there's a lot more now, but it's not because the Pats have changed so much as people's media-consumption habits have. Not only has the rise of new media multiplied the total amount of sports coverage possible, but the amount of coverage dedicated to the NFL by the old media has increased -- I mean, look at the increasing number and length of pregame shows.
We're just hearing more about everything than we used to, and we have no one to blame but ourselves and our seemingly insatiable appetites for more and more coverage.
Beautiful. From various reports circulating around the internet, I've been able to piece together EXACTLY what happened between Moss and Tom the week before the big game down in Miami...
*snip*
Not at all. Nor are fist fights between good friends that are teammates.
There's a difference, though when it's between the QB who made his rep on work ethic and the receiver famous for being...well...kind of a b*tch. It's also not good when your QB is the one who has to sit the receiver down and lecture them on putting in the work. That's why god made linebackers and 5-techs.
...and I'm fairly certain this had *zero* to do with hair. That's just hilarious.
I would have preferred it worked out for the Patriots, but we are obviously on different sides there.
you are a cement head:.
Wake up Teenuh, Clearly, after all those reasons being thrown about all week, we all know the real cause was.............GroomingGate.
So you're pretty much in complete denial at this point, eh?
Casserly said the Patriots were known to/talked about recording coaches. Then Camera Gate happened. That's my point. It was PRE-SPYGATE and Casserly was right. Damn, some people just don't get it.
Yeah. He said that before it turned out that Casserly was 100% correct.
The maturity level around here is astounding.
:lol2:
Denial about what? I'm just pointing out how you guys want to make Moss the bad guy so its easier to deal with the loss. If it helps you sleep at night then feel free to believe every negative rumor about Moss. I'm sure the media will spread plenty of other rumors about him during the next several weeks so you'll have plenty of "excuses" to say we're better off with Moss.
It Is What It Is Belichick and Casserly going at it again
ooops....how can THIS be??? after all, Charlie Casserly is the ultimate insider who never lies and fabricates nor has an agenda of any kind....naw....not Daddy...:bricks:
