The trade for Tebow has a ring of truth about it. It fits what Caserio said - younger guy, not veteran, close to signing, which might mean he's already under a larger contract somewhere else. A guy with the stature of Tebow would explain why Caserio would pre-announce an upcoming roster move.

No. They played a 4-3 DE. But like Bruschi, Reed is too undersized to play 4-3 DE in the NFL full time.

Who is up for trade that is "younger"? I would assume it is a safety since that is what is perceived to be the biggest need.

Yup, that's right.

And I don't buy this whole 4-3, 3-4 crap. I'm sure many players can excel in both systems if taught properly. Look at what our guys are having to do this year.

I guess it depends on what he means by non-veteran. I mean, technically, anyone NOT a rookie is a "veteran", but when he says "younger guy" it makes me think it could be anyone in their first three years.

I can't see it, but Tebow is 4th string right now. Wait, wasn't Brady fourth-string at some point.

That would have to mean Hoyer or Mallett are gone, or they'd switch him to Belly's favorite position.
