To be honest, the harshest criticisms I hear about this team are often from this message board.

Most other fan bases hate us, but are absolutely terrified to play us. You saw that Steelers thread a few weeks ago when mediots were saying we should fear the Steelers. More Steelers fans mocked that on their message board than we did here. A bunch of people were / are still terrified.

We are not invincible, we could lose to anyone, even the Texans. But the fear and dread that seems to fill some around here, I just don't understand. We are overwhelming favourites every single time we take the field, and we should be.

I started this thread mostly to tweak all the worry-warts out there.(BTW, in my entire life, ive never used the word "worry-wart", nor can I recall ever hearing it used. But it seemed appropriate here).

All this wringing-of- hands and gnashing of teeth over all these other inferior teams. C'mon people, its FUN being a NE Pats fan. Football is FUN. There's enough REAL **** in the world to be worried about.

Of course, maybe being in a state of constant angst is what some of these posters get off on. Whatever floats your boat. Kinda sad to me, tho. I'm not mad at them- I just feel sorry for them. Seems like they're missing out on all the joy of this awesome 16- year- and - counting ride.

Pats had some great teams in the 70s. But you've been a fan long enough to know that when TB and BB are gone, we will NEVER see a run like this again. So people should enjoy it while it lasts.
