Cam Newton Tests Positive; Out for KC game

Good. Get Sony out of the way and let Harris get some carries.

with the incubation period, it makes no sense for this game to take place. The press secretary just tested positive after 4 negative tests the previous 4 days. Cam tested positive Friday. How can the league possibly play this game 3 days later?

At one point yesterday afternoon on RedZone, Scott Hanson was talking about the new day and time for the game because of Cam's test and not one bloody reference to the Chief's QB...
practice squad QBs don't get a lot of coverage.

Can Hoyer go 19/36 for 169 with 1 TD and 1 INT? That was Brady's stat line last December vs. the Chiefs and that would have been a W, if not for Bogar and co.

Feel better now?
Actually if not for Bogar and co. Brady would have 2 TDs as Harry's would have counted. But to answer your question, Hoyer probably can't do that tonight. If we win, it will be with the run game and a defense that gets at least 2 TOs and crazy good STs.

Let the Chiefs worry about it, I guess.

I do take your point though. I follow Serie A soccer and last week, my favorite team Napoli played Genova. Both teams were entirely negative before the game. After the game, Genova tested all its players and several tested positive the next morning (a Sunday). By Monday, Genova had 14 of their 18 players who suited up as positives. So once Napoli found out, they started testing their players Sunday night. They went 4 straight days with negatives for everyone on the entire club. Then on Thursday night, they got their first positive of a player. Friday a coach tested positive, and yet another player on Saturday. They are testing everyone now, but yesterday morning the province forbade the team from traveling to a game against Serie A's top team, and Napoli complied. Unfortunately, the league and European football are guiding teams to play unless they have 10+ positives. Napoli explained that they were threatened with criminal offenses by the authorities. It didn't matter. Juventus showed up to play, got the 3-0 win by forfeit, and now Napoli is even going to be penalized a previous game in addition (they've won all their games so far).

It's mind boggling that these sports people underrate the potential for mass infection. Hell, Juventus has Cristiano Ronaldo on the roster. How would the league fare if its poster boy got sick because they were forcing infected teams like Napoli to play?

Next time an infected team should travel to their away game early so that local authorities can't stop them from traveling, and they could risk getting the entire city sick if they're staying in a hotel.

Peter King is saying the Pats took Delta charter flights, is he mistaken?

the travel party proceeded into buses for trips to two airports, per ESPN. One travel party, the much larger one, was scheduled to take a Delta charter from Boston’s Logan Airport. The other travel party was scheduled to take a different Delta charter from T.F. Green Airport in Providence. Pro Football Talk reported Sunday that the second, smaller charter is comprised of those who were in close contact last week with Cam Newton, whose positive test for COVID-19 set the postponement of the game from Sunday to Monday into motion

Really? Sony just had his best game. Harris has never played a regular season snap.
I look at it the same way I look at Hoyer playing tonight. We know what we have with Hoyer and Sony, we don't really know what we have with Stidham and Harris so let's see what they can do.

Sure. If you see it as a game we are losing no matter what then I agree. If we are trying to win the game then Hoyer and Sony give us a better chance IMO.

Good news is that, if we win, we are guarenteed to go to the SB this season.

I mean, who's gonna doubt anymore? Not me

Mahomes was 26-40 283 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT

If we can hold him to that again, maybe this will be a game.

Except one player already did. *SMH*.. Jordan Ta'amu.
Practice squad doesn't count. Someone didn't need to give Cam the COVID. All they needed was a positive TEST. Tests can be manipulated. Funny how just one player tested positive. The fix is in yet again!!

Why would he be mistaken ?

Apparently there are operating-certificate transfer issues that keep both AirKrafts on the ground as Kraft transitions the management company. Source someone from the Pats Beat on twitter today.

ROFLMAO.. Since when does the PS not count? OH.. I know.. Since Fantasy land.. Got it.. Seriously.. Pound sand with this crap..

The point is that you are spreading misinformation and we really have no idea how many people have been reinfected because people without symptoms might not be tested but spread the virus.

You really have no idea what you're talking about.

Yeah, I almost made that correction but then decided wasn't worth my time. If that had counted, it would have been 98% effort by Harry, 2% Brady.

You are clearly more impressed with that stat line and that Brady performance than I am. Having been in the stadium that night, in my opinionBrady was not good.

The Chiefs are without their CB2 and CB3 and now without Jones. IF they can protect Hoyer, he can absolutely match or exceed those numbers, IF he can also recognize his obvious limitations and not make risky throws that lead to turnovers.

There will probably be more positives and the NFL will act surprised
