Butler vs Julio

I m worried about the RB's. We can contain JJ with Rowe plus Devin( will he make plays? Yes)

I suspect Julio will be double teamed all game. Rowe, Ryan, Malcolm, DMC, etc.

They'll play man and some zone.

They might try and get away with single coverage on Manu

The strategy they employ will be fascinating

Butler nor anyone else on this team can (or will) cover him solo. Julio is going be as much of a problem as Terrell Owens was when we played the Iggles in the Super Bowl. Let's hope Julio re-injures his turf toe (semi-kidding) but he looked fully healthy yesterday. I think we'll play under/over on him like we did a bunch of times on Antonio Brown. Julio is a bigger (literally) problem though.

Julio is just a freak. His speed and agility and acceleration is just absurd for a man that size

When they're in man, I would expect Rowe on Julio with safety help, Butler on Sanu, and Ryan or whoever they throw out there at nickel on Gabriel.

I don't think Sanu is a threat and Ryan might be a bit too slow to cover Julio. Matt Ryan is a very good QB, but he will force the ball and i would rather have julio with Devin helping out.

Ryan won't be covering Julio when they're in man. That will either be Rowe (my guess) or Butler. Either way, they'll be given help.

This Pats Team is healthy and playing inspired!

Our defense won't stop, but will at least slow down, the "Big Red Juggernaut".

I think the Pats will make this a rock and street fight and break the rhythm of the finesse team.

Our offense can run and pass on these guys.

Should be a great game. I am optimistic! Brady's FIFTH RING is in reach!

Go Pats!

It'll have to be man to man defense. We're not a strong zone team and Matty Ice is now at the level where he will pick one apart, he's a much improved QB.

The game plan will have some concepts carried over from the AFCC. Key in on the running game (including pass catching out of the backfield, what ever way it is to limit that).

Defensive matchups:

Logan Ryan on Julio (with safety help)
Butler on Gabriel
Rowe on Sanu

Completely agree. Butler matches up with Gabriel the best because of his height and speed. Rowe an Sanu should match up well because they are both taller, not as quick guys, and that leaves Ryan on Julio with help of course.

I could also see Ryan on Gabriel and Butler on Julio but I think the above is more likely. Rowe will definitely be on Sanu.

Butler is small. I am a huge Logan Ryan fan but Julio might be too much to ask of him. Rowe might be our best option.

Outside of Coleman and Jones, our secondary has played great. McCourty is the key to stopping their offense imo. Call me crazy but I actually think McCourty can effectively cover Julio, whether it be helping over the top or even the occasional man coverage.

I was
Won't happen. I'd rather see Rowe and his size on a guy like Julio. Doubled of course.
thinking the same thing. We can't cover Jones with any one player and Rowe has the size speed combo to hang with him as long as someone helps over the top. Butler would be better on Sanu and Gabriel at times. I am confident Patricia will employ the best plan whatever it may be

Jones is an impossible cover one on one.....I'd think we start with Rowe on him with double coverage, put Butler on Sanu and Ryan on Gabriel. Tough match ups across the board when you consider covering the RB'S as well. Think the best defense will be to dominate the time of possession.

Rowe and McCourty bracketing Julio is my bet. Ryan and Butler in man in the other side with Harmon over the top.

Our secondary will be fine. Can the front put enough pressure on Matty Ice to force the ball out early? Hope so.

Rowe on Jones is a bad idea. He will be burned every single play. I think you guys fail to understand that Jones is a BEAST.

Butler will have his hands full even with safety. We need our best against their best.
