Why do say that?Unfortunately, our new WRs coach isn't even close to being up to that particular task.

I like Golden a lot. I don't know how the Patriots would get him.

Andrew Thomas is a LT. The Giants actually did Saquon a solid and didn’t handcuff him by franchising him again. All they asked in return was for him to allow them to match any offers he received. Barkley told them what they wanted to hear but then sign with Philly.
He sure spent a lot of Bob’s money, only to get 3 wins before Buffalo gifted them the 4th.
Just don't draft wide receivers this year. We already expended 2 picks last year . Try Higgins and if not available go after sLayton or jakobi and trade bourne .Unfortunately he’s shooting up draft boards. He was available mid to late 2nd round, but now more and more mocks have him late first. They could trade up from their 2nd round spot if he is in the 20’s. I think he’s a perfect fit for what they need at WR.

Sign Trey Smith and Alaric Jackson . Try to create something positive out of baker and Polk . If that works out that's a huge plus else draft wide receiver in first round next year. Draft BPA in draft and do not overdraft and trade up unless necessary. DT, DE , DB or OL should be first 2 picks and 3rd and 4th rounds for RB and TE . Trade up for conerly Jr.
I know that teams have been able to work the cap to a certain extent. But we've also seen that invariably the bill comes due. Even with Burrow restructuring, I just don't see how they can keep other players on the team that'll be valuable, let alone get quality FA's, while paying both Higgins and then Chase. The Patriots were able to do it because they had already won 3 SB's and had Tom and Bill. The Bengals haven't won anything yet and they still have some serious holes in their roster as it is. I can see the Bengals, at best case scenario, be like the Dolphins with Marino. In the hunt and entertaining, but will never seal the deal with a SB Championship. I suppose we'll see.Yep and Burrow has made sure that's widely known. What I fail to see is how that's going to open Mike Brown's wallet when he's already facing the cost of Chase's extension. Chase and Higgins will require beaucoup bucks in cash outlay. Never mind the questionable wisdom of tying up 25-30 % of your cap in two WR's, the notoriously cheap Brown would need to cough up the upfront cash spending to seal those deals. I'm not saying it should or shouldn't happen or debating whether or not it should I'm just doubting Burrow can influence Brown to go against his nature.

Do you think that Higgins ends up being a FA or Tagged and Traded this off-season?If a team is willing to kick the cap can down the road there are ways to do it... until there isn't.
The point I've been trying to make is it's not just the Bengal's cap that has to be taken into consideration here, it's their owner and his aversion to parting with upfront cash. The Bengals front load their contracts specifically to keep Mike Brown from having to pony up the bucks. A Burrow restructure means Brown has to pay him cash now to get cap relief. And he has to pay that cash in addition to the cash he has to come up with to make the other deals their roster requires.
You brought up the Pats finding themselves in a similar situation 'but they had Tom and Bill.' They also had Kraft and the big difference was Krafty Bob, contrary to what many here contend about his being cheap, was never shy about handing Brady (and others) piles of cash to get whatever relief was needed. Every time Brady restructured he was handed plenty of Kraft's bucks upfront. Brady trusted Kraft and vice versa.
Mike Brown is no Robert Kraft and Joe Burrow is no Tom Brady

Because he's never coached WRs before, among other things.
This caught my eye too. He’s an odd hire, a former OC who has never been a WR receiver position coach being hired as a WR coach.
I've never heard a WR's coach be credited for the success of the WR. I really don't care if some random guy off the street coached the position. They will not make or break a WR room. Either the WR has it or he doesn't. As we've seen in the past, the Pats just took the wrong guy in the little times they decided to draft a WR.Yep; but look at the first word Vrabel used when describing what he wants his coaches to be: "Loyal..." Not competent, not experienced...
This position is gonna be another **** show next season, I fear...
