"My job is done, Bill". That about wraps it up.

WOW! BB almost cried.

Tedy on the other LBs: "Just as good as I'm going to be without them, they're going to be just as good without me."

ETA: It sounds like he's out and out done; "Don't call me," he joked.

My god, his description of the Miami Snow Fountains interception is unbelieveable in its descriptiveness.

I thought he was talking about the Thanksgiving INT against the Lions. . . .

Oops, you may be right. Both seemed to be blitzes where he fell back into coverage.

Does anybody have the link to the whole press conference?

I missed the BB part.
Stupid work getting in the way of things that actually matter.

Should be up on Patriots.com soon.

BB talked about the lions one. I am pretty sure Bru was describing the Miami one.

The emotion from BB was palpable. He loved Bingo. He adores this LB.

Hope his teamates and all players heard his reason for staying. Guys often move on to fix a perceived problem. He chose to fix problems by contronting them, his own shortcomings as well as those of the team around him, and win here.

Full tilt full time, even into retirement.

Somebody should send a link to Favre. This is how you retire with class and dignity. By doing everything you possibly could evert single day all along the way. Then you have nothing to regret.

Today SBB stands for signbabybruschis.

Same, I had to jump into a conference call in the middle of BB's part. Will have to wait until after work to catch the rest. Surprised to see BB showing as much emotion as he did.

Take care Bruschi, Pats fans will miss the heart you brought to the team.

Living in the Dallas area now, I don't have the benefit of watching Tedy's news conference. I only had that benefit of seeing the snippets up on the Globe Site and hearing the audio of Tedy speaking. I'm not afraid to say that I am sitting here crying because I know that this is the end of an era. Guys like Tedy only come along, if you're lucky, once in a lifetime. I can remember 1996 when Tedy was drafted and how much of a hit he was going to be because of his name... And I can remember following him as he grew and changed and became a LEADER. Then a WINNER.. And then the heart and soul of this team. I'd say that he was the Pats version of Rudy, but that would be a disservice to Tedy. Tedy was more. He became the embodiment of the coach and what this team stands for.

I knew that this day was coming. I just didn't know when. And it still has hit me like a ton of bricks. Not seeing #54 leading this team on to the field and him being on the field making the plays is a surreal idea.

I can't remember the exact words, but I believe it was Kraft that said in the press conference that he spoke with Mayo about how he was doing and Mayo said something along on the lines of, " I just try to go out there and emulate what Tedy does, and how he approaches things on and off the field."

I think that says perfectly how Bruschi was viewed as a player and person on this team.
