Bruins 2025 Offseason

Hate to say it because I hoped he'd be back but Marchand's playoff performance has probably priced him out of Boston's reach. After their recent signings they've got roughly $10-11M left to fill both second line wings as well as a winger each for the 3rd and 4th lines. Somebody who thinks they're going to be contending is going to offer Marchy serious coin thinking he may get them over the top. He's a different sorta guy and the money may well not be his principle motivator but it's hard to see him coming back here to play on a second or third tier team if a contender is willing to pay him more.

He's staying in Florida. Horrendous contract for them.

Brad Marchand staying with Panthers on six-year contract: Report

Geekie's deal got done. 6 years for $33M. Could have been better, could have been worse, it's likely neither side is completely satisfied which makes it acceptable. $5.5M AAV for a 30 goal scorer seems like a relative bargain but Geekie wasn't going to get Pasta as a linemate anywhere else

6 ****ing years That's Double the # of years I would've offered him. The dude's a mediocrity without Pasta. ZaZa too to a somewhat lesser extent.
I would love to see those two with another linemate and Pasta with two others and compare both sets of results as the season progresses...

I think you're gonna get half your wish to start the season. Zacha will most likely be the centering the 2nd line and your favorite Eurotrash center will be between Pasta and Geeks

i expect a way better season out of Lindholm

He started putting it together in the last month of the season and was the leading goal scorer in the World Championship tourney so I can understand the expectation. That said, he's going to have to improve a bleep-ton to justify that contract. I'm still ripshit Sweeney didn't find a way to use that cash and half of what he gave Zadorov to get Sam Reinhart here instead. Imagine a PP unit made up of Reinhart between two finishers like Pasta and Geekie with McAvoy and Marchy at the points... puckgasm waiting to happen

The Geekie extension was smart. Need more pieces. More grit. They need another top 6 forward but I like how the drafted.

If Sway and the D can play tighter they should be back in the playoffs....which is not good enough.

I like the Jordan Harris signing and… that’s it.

More dumpster-diving otherwise.

And that re-signing of Kuraly? A slap in the ****ing Face.

Lazy, arrogant, incompetent mother****ers.

Boston sports: Loserville USA. And now the place is a ****ing ****hole in general too.

3 RH shots on one line? Too unbalanced.

Ass-uming no surprises of the positive kind - and with this organ-eye-zation there rarely is - the Forward lines look more or less like this:

Jeannot - Lindholm - Pasta
KNut - ZaZa - Geek
Merkulov - Mittelstadt - Lysell
Lauko - Kuraly - Kastelic

Maybe 1/2 of the kids will replace Merk and/or Fabian, but they suck too so...

Championshiiiiiiiiip.

And EVERYONE in the league is saying that the Jeannot signing is the WORST of the offseason BY FAR.

It's 3 per year with a cap going up. Won't even matter in a year. Solid glue guy that they really need.

Forgot to add Viktor Arvidsson, a RH shot who is listed as a LW, so there's some flexibility there... But maybe we're not able to avoid having a 3-RH forward line now

p.s.: Lousy Lauko is technically a UFA because he wasn't tendered or something; but it wouldn't surprise in the slightest if he's re-signed here for the vet minimum... Keeping him here unless he actually does sign elsewhere (but what other team would be so stupid):

Jeannot - Lindholm - Pasta
Arvidsson - ZaZa - Geek
KNut - Mittelstadt - Lysell
Lauko - Kuraly - Kastelic

That 3rd line...

They aren't separating Geeks & Pasta

They aren't separating Geeks & Pasta

Why, what makes the Geek so special? Are they afraid that he'll be exposed and return to the pumpkin he always had been everywhere else he played before being given a spot on Pasta's line, thereby putting the light to the Double overpay #FireSweeney gave him?

Let ZaZa (another Pasta succubus who still managed to have a piss-poor season) & the Geek have Arvidsson (a RH shot like Pasta) on their line so that we can try to cobble-together a threatening 2nd line with Pasta & Eurotrash Lindholm, likely with one of Jeannot, K-Nut or Mittelstadt as their LW...
