Bruins 2024-2025

Yep, the little dude Sucks. He's a boy playing a Man's game. Will that change in the future, after he learns how to shave? Maybe, but I doubt it... Sweeney ****ing sucks at drafting, after all, and this kid - Dorothy Hamill part deaux - didn't score enough in junior hockey for my liking anyway. Bust.

I'd hazard a guess his set up game was what got him drafted in the second round a couple of years ago with Krecji on his swan song. Maybe he's one of those junior phenoms that can't produce at the NHL level or perhaps he needs some AHL time to round out his big boy game. He's still not old enough to drink, let's give it a minute.

i think he has a very good upside and plays the game well. He is just not strong enough yet and gets pushed around. Still young so i think the move to send him down is the proper one.

Nice comeback win last night tho.

Yep and to be honest it was one I wasn't sure the team had in them at this point. Down 2 in the 3rd seemed like Everest for the way the B's has been playing. I honestly can't recall a Bruins team where so many players were over thinking their game at the same time. It's rather bizarre

I was watching Pasta and it seemed to me he delayed on shooting. He'd get the puck, settle it, and then pull the trigger, allowing the keeper to get in position and get eyes on him. Later, he did have the game winner where he just fired the puck and scored. I was meaning to ask you if you noticed it of if I am making something out of nothing.

You're not wrong, Pasta's lack of one-timers has been noticeable to the point where it's hard to miss. The breakdown of them hasn't been consistent though. What % of them are happening because he's 'tight' and over thinking his game vs less than settled pucks vs being uncomfortable with his positioning because he's playing deeper vs struggling with his accuracy is something only going over the tape with him could determine. Whatever the cause he needs to get back to beginning his shot before the puck quite gets there whenever possible, it's his signature talent and makes him harder to defend

Thanks. I appreciate you confirming what I was seeing.

The people who fed him all those goal-scoring opportunities - Bergeron, Krejci & a non-deteriorating Marchand - have retired-out or declined... Pasta & the team are going to have to figure out other ways of creating goal-scoring chances for him, including having Lindstrom & ZaZa start earning their keep better - much, Much better - than they've been doing so far. Would've also helped if the clowns in the front orifice had used more of their budget on a goal-scoring Forward (preferably Right-handed) instead of yet another high-priced Defenceman.

They dropped the ball not extending Swayman 2 years ago, they might have had the cap space to cripple FL by getting Reinhart. He's the type of player you break the bank for

I agree with that and noticed it myself. He looks tentative shooting, which is not what you want from your sniper. I don't know if it is lack of confidence or wanting to get others involved. I would rather he shot the puck on every shift because when he is on his game, its a difference maker.

I'm happy that Carlo returned to the game, and Zadorov is to be commended to fighting Benn after the hit... But damn Zadorov's zone awareness ****ing SUCKS! And Laurie needs to go to the ****ing minors like the other boy too. ****ing clueless.

7-2. That was ugly. No fun to watch.

One step forward, two steps back.
Rinse, repeat
(sigh)

I shut it off after the end of the 2nd period.

Roope Hintz: Should’ve been a Bruin.

Tyler Seguin: Should've stayed a Bruin.

I'm thinking Ullmark should have remained a Bruin, but probably too early to tell for sure. I still say Swayman is not THE guy.

Edit: I didn't watch the Dallas game so i could be way off

HC will undoubtedly be the fall guy. But things go much deeper than just him.

7 goals, so you might not be.

I don't know WTH is wrong with Swayman. It's not rust, not at this point. He can't seem to decide whether he wants to play deep and explode out to meet the shot or be a top of the crease guy. He's also not squaring well to the puck, his timing is off and his intuitive puck sense seems to have deserted him. He's been going to his knees far too early way too often. Sway is as out of sorts as the team he plays for

That said I was never an Ullmark guy, I see him as a JAG with an above average glove and always have.

Not only is Swayman Not The Guy, especially at his new salary, but statistically he’s one of the very Worst goalies in the league now. He’s become complacent since he Got Paid; and he also knows that the team in front of him absolutely ****ing Sucks, so he figures Why should I put in the extra effort?

Hamper Lindholm’s both overrated AND overpaid - IOW, a typical Ruin - but losing him is still gonna suck, mostly because an undeserving, not ready for prime time, Baby Huey stiff like Laurie will now remain with the big club instead of being sent to Providence or juniors where he belongs.
