I'm disappointed the bruins didn't trade him. I just pray they don't sign him to some stupid contract. Brad Marchands contract is up soon. that's the player they need to keep. the bruins have plenty of forwards in the pipeline. they don't need to waste money on erickson.

Rinaldo is down with the PBruins now. And who knows..he could be the puppet for Neely. Neely could be the one pulling the stings here. We just don't know and i am beginning to think he is.

They were buyers. These two players could very well be just rentals for this little "run" as they are calling it. When in fact we know this team is going no where come playoffs. Needed to sell Loui even if it was for a ham sandwich. Better than nothing when he walks

Our boy Zac with 5 games..but since he's in the AHL..he suspension won't start until he is back up in the NHL. 3rd round pick for him....

Loui can score...just look at him this year. 8 goals in 9 games not too long ago. Ok so they weren't playing the LA Kings every night...but we are now faulting him for WHEN he scores?

It's not like no teams weren't interesed in him....

Just wanted to say that not trading Erickson, and pissing away draft picks for the rentals, should have resulted in Sweeney getting fired the moment the deadline passed.

Yep. Ownership should've been questioning SweeNeely's judgement when they sent a 3rd (!?!) for Rinaldo over the summer.
If I were Charlie at that time, I would've told them: OK guys, from now on ALL trades go through me, because it's now obvious that you don't know what THE FECK you're doing.

I didn't mind the 3rd that much, because it was a future pick for the type of player they need now. I didn't mind how the draft went, and I understand that they are somewhat hamstrung by the moves of Chiarelli. But this crap at the trade deadline was a joke. They got barely better for this year, and they've given up future picks (and 8-balled themselves with Erickson) for the privilege of maybe stealing a round in the playoffs before bowing out.

Had they blown the Panthers game last night, the Bs might have started a trend in the wrong direction.

More cluelessness from tRotman on the 1st goal, with an assist from Rask's (lack of) puck-handling ability.

This is what I would do with the defence:

Chara - Colin Miller
Krug - McQuaid
Liles/Seidenberg - Morrow

Irwin - Kevin Miller
Cross - tRotman

I would dress one of Seidenberg or Liles, but not both, for the same game…and I most certainly would not pair them at the same damn time during the same damn game.
I would also consider putting Chara in the Liles/Seidenberg rotation; all 3 30Somethings could use the rest before the POs begin, in which I'm pretty sure now the Bs will be a participant.
If Chara is the one sitting, then I would probably swap Millers so that the larger Kevin is paired with the smaller Liles/Seidenberg.

And Bergeron - Marchand (- Stepniak) must be the best top line of whom nobody outside of Bs fans has heard this season.
