Or, the talent is not that bad around Mac, people have beat themselves in the head to make excuses all year for him, and people have ran out of ideas of why he keeps running out on the field every week when nothing changes.

Did you watch the game yesterday? Whether or not you think Mac is good, crap, ok, or a disaster; there is no denying the talent around Mac is awful. At least for the offensive line and a lot of his receivers. You saw things like Parker running extremely lazy routes and the offensive line not blocking at all.

If you think Mac is crap, fine. But you have to accept so is pretty much everyone else on offense.

It's BB's post Brady Coaching mindset the definition of insanity. "Keep doing the same things over and over and expect different results."

No the talent is bad. It's crazy people think that this is a team that just needs a QB to prove these guys aren't trash

This is what I don't get about a lot of people on here. Some people think this all falls on Mac, or it all falls on the offensive line, or it all falls on the lack of weapons. It is all of those things. Mac sucks. So do his receivers and his protection. This is just a flat out bad roster.

And, in addition to all of those problems, the good players on the line are all out injured or trying to play through injury.

I would take the year and a half counting this year Rental on J Jeudy we need the body and weapon. Currently we have nothing or anyone better than him beggars can't be choosers. We have a pedestrian Offense all round.

I wouldn't call the unproven Strange good and Andrews needs to be upgraded yeah we have problems.

Let's just say that if I was going to start fixing the roster this offseason, Strange isn't at the top of the fires I have to put out. Strange is a guy with talent on a rookie deal. Assuming Owenhu is gone, I'm looking at the rookies I have to take care of the other guard spot and we have the other Andrews drafted to compete for center.

Tackle is the real problem spot that needed to be addressed this past offseason, and to give Bill some credit, he tried to do that. But Reiff's injury and Anderson's illness left the cupboard bare and Lowe and Wheately were a couple of hail marys that are panning out about how you would expect for young projects that their previous teams gave up on.

1. Fix protection
2. Fix passing
3 Fix receivers

Curran has also reported multiple times Strange's knee requires surgery, and he's been trying to play through it when he has played. That's also why he's looked the way he's looked when he's been out there.

Right. It's funny to me when people complain about the OL with no consideration to the massive amount of injuries we've sustained there. The current OL situation wasn't the plan. Should the plan have been better? Absolutely. But it shouldn't have been expected to turn this bad.

Klemm and BOB have done a terrible job adjusting the protections V Lowe is a go sign to the QB smh.

Lowe was a sixth round pick given up on by the team that drafted him. I also would like BOB and Klemm to coach him up into a solid starter of a RT, but if it doesn't work out, I'm not going to base my judgments of them on it.

Besides, how much help can they give him? They were given two starting TEs who can't block.

mike do you remember Scar?? He made any O-Lineman look decent or was it Brady??

Sure, but he's not walking back through that door any more than a lot of people from the dynasty years. This is what coaching looks like at an NFL level.

Some people put the entire offense on the QB good or bad. People oversimplify things. It is the same thing with Brady. There are people who want to say the Dynasty was all him and Bill had little to nothing to do with it and was just a mediocre coach who went along for the ride.

Also other people just have biases.

But even Brady in his prime would probably at best change this offense from a disaster to a below average to middle of the pack offense. This roster is worse than any roster of the Belichick era except for maybe 2000.

EDIT: Take back the last sentence. The 2000 team had at least Bruschi, Law, Milloy, McGinest, and a few others.

I know. I'm not enough of a college game/draft guy to know who we should have picked, so I suspect you were probably right about them. Much like Strange, I think our TE group is ok. I like Henry and think Brown is a decent pickup. Again, they don't seem like major problems to me.

We do have talent. It's just all on defense, and the 2 best players there are **drumroll** injured.

The Pats have more talent on the defensive side since there is next to none on the offensive side. Although, the defensive side talent is a bit overrated. Some players are being exposed without Judon or Gonzalez.
