Bring on the Ravens

OK and would you concede that NE is SIGNIFICANTLY better than all four of those teams. NE beat SD by 14 (they were home I'll concede that). NE also beat Jax by 35!!!!

If I were you I would consider my team a significant underdog.

Obviously NE is better than those 4 teams.

We beat PIT by 28, and PIT beat you. Does that matter come Sunday?

So what is the point?

Perhaps you should take the advice of your very own BB, and consider what he has to say about the past and present.
Especially when they dont even have anything to do with each other in the first place.

This indicates you do not have a good grasp of the facts. Ravens have good young rotation in the front 7. Ray Lewis I suppose is the odd man out if you want to call him geriatric

Which other Old Boys are you referring to ?

The Ravens have been playing the brides maid since 2001. Losing to superior teams such as Pitt, Indi and NE. This trend will continue. Any team that lost to Jax should STFU.

That was the first game of the season, correct? And Denver beat Pitt too. You lost to Jax!!! Really?

Denver fans were confident last week too and Bill compliments everyone. He'd compliment the 0-16 Lions too. He also hates running up the score, respects Rex Ryan and has forgiven Mangini. Yep...thats it. All true.

I suspect the Tight End play of the Patriots is being overdone, especially in light of who they are playing.

169 catches, 2,237 yards, 25 touchdowns.

No tight end combo before now has ever had 900 receiving yards a piece. The play of our TEs is not being overstated.

I would be surprised if any team has a WR combo as productive as our pair of TE's, and neither of our TE's was our leading receiver.

They also beat won 7 games against Playoff teams. How many did the Patriots win ?

We can do this all day but I would rather not.

Your use of rhetoric is ironic.

The Packers were 6-1 against playoff teams. The one loss being........
The last one.

Working on some excuses already? Don't worry, the refs wont let the Ravens touch Brady. We're certain to get a Roughing The Brady call or two.

Of course. Because that's what happens to undisciplined thugs.

Many have tried my dude, BUT YOU CAN'T STOP A BALLER WHEN HE GETS TO ROLLIN' SON!

Just so ya'll know we have surrendered the second-fewest yards in the NFL to tight ends (665), the second-fewest touchdowns (three) and the sixth-fewest receptions (62). No tight end has gained more than 73 yards against the defense this season. We've played Antonio Gates and Vernon Davis.

When we saw Wes Welker last year we held him to 53 yds

.....and lost the game.

You really make this **** to easy. Brady had 5 roughing the Passer calls in 2009, and 1 in 2010. Can't find the totals for 2011 but man come with some facts. I don't think that is too much to ask?

NE beat the Jets 2x, if not for those games Jets would be in the playoffs not Cinci. Also only two were on the road. Cinci...and Pitt. Cinci was young and Pitt lost to Denver. How is that for irony.

Except my claims are not ridiculous.

1. Your explanation of how you think the Ravens defense will handle and cover our offense. Made no sense. Which is where number one came from.
2. A smackdown by the Steelers defense of our offense. That our defense is the worst in the league etc. point to number 2.
3. You stating that you don't make excuses for Ravens losses. Is where point three came from.

If you think calling out a poster of another team on: Inaccuracies about our team, making him back up what he says, pointing out hypocritical claims is being petty than so be it. You came to our board and have challenged veteran posters and when you can't hold your own you ignore the conversation or resort to the post above.

If you look around enough you will find some posters from other teams that come here who are knowledeable about football in general, very knowledeable about their own team and back up what they say with facts, stats etc... many of those posters post here all year long. So far you don't fall into that category. I think you understand your roster and your team's tendancies. But your overall NFL knowledge, IMO, is lacking and you have done nothing to show me that you understand the fundamentals of football strategy.

I'm sure you won't lose sleep over my opinion, but that is my opinion based on the statements you have made on here.

1. How does it not make sense? I said Webb should be on Welker. JJ and Reed bracket Gronk. And I said AH is the x factor, because I did not know what the best approach is with him if Reed is already providing help over the top with Gronk.

2. I said "smack you silly". I did not say they blew you out. I watched that game, and they straight out man handled your team. And honestly, I didnt even feel like the game was as close as the score indicated. Even at the end. Once again, people seem to have trouble looking at things in proper context (or in certain individual's cases, who I wont name, flat out twist the context things were said in)

3. I will repeat. I stand by what I said, but not going to come on your forum and make excuses. Mainly out of respect, but to avoid this petty crap that I've been drug into anyway.

Your team still lost to Jax...he he he...you'll never live that down. NEVER. Lost to Jax, Jax, Jax, Jax Jax.

All Moot.

The QB ratings at the end of the game between Brady and Flacco are going to be close in all probablity. That is the history between the teams. That says it all.

You want to see the history between the teams during the Brady era?????

Patriots 6 - Ravens 1.

Your team is 4-4 on the road this year.

The Ravens caught a real break with the officiating crew, so that might have an impact.

I'm not sure. We don't seem to be on the favorable end of PI's. This could help our DB's who do draw some dumb ass PI's. Unfortunatlely most of the PI's we get called for are blatant. As long as they don't tackle the WR's we should be good.

Hey, if the Jets maybe win any of their other 14 games, they make the playoffs.

But the two playoff teams you faced (as far as I recall), NYG and PIT, beat you. However, if they woulda just lost one or two of their other games, they wouldnt of made the playoffs, and no one can say that you haven't been able to beat a playoff team this year.

Not that any of this matters. You can only play whats on your schedule. You're gonna win some, gonna lose some.

I can't believe this thread is 50 pages long.

Ravens Fans: "Pats didn't beat anyone 'good enough' this year"

Patriot Fans: "Ravens lost to lousy teams on the road and went 4-4"

Ravens Fans: "We already beat you in 2009"

Patriot Fans: "We didn't have Gronk, Welker, Hernandez, or Branch"

Ravens Fans: "We beat Pittsburgh twice, and they beat you"

Patriot Fans: "We lost 3 games by scores of 3, 4 and 8; and all were close"

Ravens Fans: "Pats defense sucks worse than anyone"

Patriot Fans: "We cause turnovers and keep teams out of the endzone when it counts"

Back and forth....back and forth...back and forth.

The game will be played on Sunday, it is a good matchup, and the better team will win. Either fanbase should take the other team lightly, and they both have their own strengths and weaknesses.

Note to Baltimore fans: We've seen this from the opposing teams' fanbase EVERY single week for the past 10 years (on different forums). Denver fans just gave us reason after reason after reason why "our defense sucks," and they bragged of how their "defense will shatter Brady etc." I think you need to back it up a bit before you go on opposing teams' forums and talk sh!t...

How'd that one BUF game go for you? You know, the one where they intercepted Brady 4 times on the way to victory?

What does that mean, if anything?

Your recall is faulty. Denver made the playoffs.

And they beat Pittsburgh.

The Pats beat 9 playoff teams last year and went 14-2. They fell on their face in the first round.

Your argument is a waste.

There were TWO games against Buffalo.

How did the most recent go?

I recall 49 unanswered points.

How you play after Thanksgiving is what is most important. This is why the nation is talking about the Pats and Giants.

No one gives a blow about a Balt-SF Harbowl. The country sees that as a Mid-May Orioles-Mariners game.

Jesus dude, I'm not even making an argument! What is wrong with you people?

It was a friggin' joke saying who really gives a crap about so and so beat so and so, and this team hasn't beat a playoff team?

The last one.

Missing the point.

We know the Ravens can beat teams with winning records. In fact the Ravens have not lost to a team with a winning record.. maybe they play up to their opponents..

The jury is out on the Patriots.. they have consistently lost to teams with a winning record.

See how that works ?
