He's 8-11 for 2 TDs. Moving the ball really well and looks poised. They might have to trade a few more players away.

OR it means they don't have to draft a QB early next year?

ding ding ding

Hoyer is 3 years younger then weeden. Lombardi was with the pats when hoyer was drafted.

if hoyer keeps playing well, the browns can focus on other skill positions next year.

Hoyer is balling out there, looking like Brady. And PIT and BAL are doing horrible so CLE can compete surprisingly.

What are you talking about? Hoyer was undrafted, and Lombardi did not work at the Patriots at that point.

Lombardi worked with BB in Cleveland. I don't think he ever worked for NE.

Yeah, but other than that, his post was spot on.

And oh yeah, Lombardi NEVER worked for the Pats.

But other than that, good post.

im trying to think of who i was thinking of when i said that.

he just led a game winning touchdown drive w/ 1 min left...not bad

Dare I say, "Brady-esque"? Patience pays. BTW, nice job by the Browns D on that last-gasp drive by the Vikings.

"Joe Banner is now contacting teams about trading Brian Hoyer."

Good for Hoyer...he always seemed to have the potential.

Congrats to Hoyer. He deserves all the credit he can get

Yeah..... if Hoyer keeps winning, he's going to destroy the tax write-off that the Browns were hoping for.

Oh please, Hoyer didn't just turn into a franchise QB overnight.

PS he also had three picks

Lombardis son, but he wasnt around when Hoyer was brought in.

They’ve also added a pair of scouting assistants with NFL ties, adding former NFL quarterback Chris Simms and Mick Lombardi. Simms has been working on the field with the coaching staff during offseason practices.

Lombardi’s the son of former personnel executive Mike Lombardi, now an analyst with the NFL Network, who also happens to a long-time Belichick confidante.

Hoyer looked really good. Not perfect, but got the ball out fast and on target.

Ponder looks really bad and Cassel is the # 2 for the Vikings. There could have been a NE backup QB bowl.

ESPN says Browns are fielding calls for WR Josh Gordon.
ESPN said:
Cleveland also is fielding offers for and is open to trading wide receivers Josh Gordon and Greg Little, according to a league source.

2012 805 yard Josh Gordon.

1 mistake away from sitting for a year Josh Gordon.
